Situational. Just boils down to you sacrificing your core (survivability, tanky goodness) for more offense. Make the call if you can get away with it. I've never seen Mek on Rigwarl as you discussed earlier, I'm intrigued to the thought! Or perhaps that is just my anti-Vanguard bias leaking out. Yango is disappoint. @Bounty Hunter- The reason BFury is ill advised is because it's counter intuitive to how an effective Bounty should be played. You should never sit in a lane and farm, or have that as a game plan w/ BH. In fact, if money is your goal, you will most likely gain more income ganking effectively, than you would in a lane and farming with a Bfury. (Not to mention the benefits to the team). I've yelled at my best friend until I was blue in the face, he rarely if ever goes Bfury on BH again. Phase/Treads/Tranq-->PMS-->Bottle/Wand/Medal/Urn(situational)-->Drums-->BKB-->Offensive Item. Deso/MKB/Abyssal. | ||

They cost nearly the same but you get a lot more damage, mobility, utility from drums and deso than battefury. Bfury is good if you realise you have to carry your team after 10 mins, or if you shortlane farm for some reason, but you might as well pick antimage or someone since you're not gonna be contributing to fights for a while. | ||

i used to play hon about 1 year ago i used to be ~1950 mmr but i stopped playing, then i went to australia and pretty much didnt play games for the last 8 months. the rare ~10 games of dota2 i ended up playing i just picked a hero i knew and ended up stomping obviously. given the pretty big success of the hon scene transferring to dota2 (fnaticeu, empire nth partially) i was just wondering. if anyone cares why im asking: + Show Spoiler + i go back home next months after having virtually almost no internet for ~9 months, so im eager to play and since i have about 5 months till my studies start i was just wondering if its worth to invest my time in dota2 opposed to sc2, as i plan to try my hardest to become "succesful" in esports. i do that because i just love games and i feel i can push myself maybe to become "professional" in those 2 months i plan on investing in it.(ive been minorly succesful in both sc2 and hon while i was still in school (winning minor amounts of money). i also plan on taking the 2 months to try, because i always dreamed about it and if i didnt try ( even tho 2 months isnt all that much and not really a commitment) i would always regret it i think. it probably the last time in my life i get the chance to do that  | ||

I used to average roughly 1820 mmr or so on hon though, and it took me like 1200-1300 games of dota 2 to get to a point where I would consistently get page 1 games on dotatv, if that's any indication on how long it'll take you. Even still though, I'm at like 1700-1800 games played now and I'm certainly not playing at a professional level, but it all depends I guess, if you can find a good team that would be willing to play with you, it'd ease the process I guess. I do think if you were just in it for the money, sc2 would be a better choice though because of all the daily/weekly tournaments that are going on with like a 100 euro prizepool or something, while there really isn't an equivalent for that in dota as of right now. | ||
