Meepo is considered a fairly weak pick largely because there's a lot of heroes that just wreck him. In other words, meepo ends up countered in most drafts completely by accident. Obviously ES and anything burst damage will outright kill him, but anyone with cleave will render him pretty hard to be effective with since all of your meepos end up at low life instead of just one that you can micro back.

Jungle should always have two meepos if possible, especially if you have the awareness to stack two camps at once. Two meepos can jungle at near AM level speeds, while 1 is a lot worse. You can generally just shift queue up a decent amount of the jungling and focus on your other meepos in lane. Two meepos in a lane doesn't get you any more gold than one, and putting two in two different lanes is going to be very difficult to last hit with.

Early vlads isn't useful as all of your meepos do really poor damage so you're stealing very little life. Just a naked basi is fine. I usually go Tranq->travels->mek/basi->aghanims->heart, but I play more of a split pushing meepo so travels are more critical for my meepo play than a more ganking-oriented style.

So I guess Meepo just isn't a viable pick considering how easily countered he is (I just lost to a pduge that would hook and kill me before Poof would finish).

7/9 this game, we lost, but I did ok.

if you want to kill shit with meepo blink is a must, but then you need to be able to poof all your meepos right before you blink, but that shouldnt be too hard for any starcraft players

just watch notail play him, you'll learn alot about the hero

im starting to farm meepo games now im 1-3 so far.

i do pretty good up until i get 4-5th meepo i just fall apart in late game team fights or ganks

What happens to me is that I'm cycling through Meepos and I always forget one that didn't the command off ): So it gets left behind and dies.

He is viable in pubs. You just have to be good. You have to play a lot safer and pick your moments really well though. Blink dagger is super good if you're good with it. It's not just a matter of having good micro or whatever. You need good game sense and positioning.

I hate that so much. Always wonder how I miss one, such frustration. Thinking about it now, when notail was streaming meepo, I was so pissed off. Mostly because it was just so annoyingly damn good at using meepo compared to me. He made cycling through and jumping on people too easy. Makes you get confident and when you try, you fail miserably.

How the hell am I supposed to play my beloved PL in this post tranquil boots nerf world?

Some poor options:

1) ROH/ Vanguard + Treads doesn't quite cut it
2) Early vlads + Treads
3) Some kind of ferrying of healing salves?

Comedy Option 4) Stick to Tranquil Boots + Soul Ring

Either way, I feel gimped. None of these seems to be working for me.

Like many people I'd go for a Tranquil Boots + Soul Ring into either Radiance or Diffusal. Whatever I have tried now just leaves me unable to stay in lane and farm at any kind of rate.

How are we to play lancer now??????

Lancer is still fine with tranqs, just have to be more careful with when you heal and be quick on the doppelwalk if it gets hairy

A good PL can avoid incoming ganks and maintain farm with good and smart use of illusions. You can still keep your Tranquils. Don't get Soul Ring, it is a waste of 800 gold.

Best build would still be Tranqs -> Drums -> Diffusal -> Heart -> Travels -> Manta/Butterfly/Daedalus.
