My 6.78 predictions(some)- Batrider nerfs of some kind Mirana base damage increased by 5-6 NA base regen from 2.5 -> .5, additional nerf to either mana burn or SC Razor stat gain buffed (basically a reversion of the nerfs he took when vanguard was nerfed) and/or ult reworked. Hope- also +5 base ms (because why not) Tauren Cheftain/Elder Titan - rework Tree buffed in a random way that doesn't really address the problems with the hero. ie leech seed now costs 20 less mana at each rank, +50 base damage but Tree BAT increased from 1.9 to 3.4 to match his strength gain. Tusk ice shard count increased from 5 to 7 (to match dota 2) Items etc. - Price increase on Shadowblade or a nerf to the item in general or Decrease on Gem restock CD Misc Gameplay stuff - If there's to be a bottle crow nerf I would want it to come in the form of something like "buying the recipe no longer instantly upgrades the courier unless it is in base" (which is a dota 2 only thing, right?). That is a minor nerf to bottle-crowing that doesn't make it impossible, just delays it a slight amount on the initial ferry. Also, adding swap to SD mode in dota 2 would make me much more willing to play it. Note - I'm not considering KotL or PL because we haven't seen how the .77c changes affect them yet. The Nyx hp regen change should already have happened, spiked carapace still pisses everyone off. Wisp can be ridiculous but I would honestly want to see fnaticEU or other prolific wisp teams actually play the current Wisp vs the teams who say that it's a useless hero before making balance judgements. **** I think the game is in a pretty good place right now honestly. While I don't think any hero needs a nerf besides Bat and NA, I do think that there are more heroes that deserve slight buffs Wild speculation - Lich, Witch Doctor, Dazzle, AA, VS all need some sort of buff (Making -armor work properly might be sufficient in the cases of VS and Dazzle). Maybe CM as well. ShadowDemon probably deserves a nerf somewhere. Earthshaker is where batrider used to be - there's something wrong in dota 2 about him that makes him far weaker than in dota 1 so buffing him has to be done carefully. The supports are where the difference in hero strength seems most prevalent. I think most heroes are either in a usable state or ones that would need drastic change/remake to be of any use (Phantom Assassin, I want to say Huskar and Skeleton King?) , some are just niche picks (Bloodseeker, Axe, Pugna) who might deserve some buffs but don't actually need any (Ok, Bloodseeker is straddingling the line between niche and useless). A few straddle the "metagame doesn't suit them". Also spirit breaker is apparently impossible to balance between pub and pro play. Also the category of "please, i never want to see these heroes again, don't buff them" for me are Naga (just the ult) and Medusa (the entire hero, though Gyro basically outclasses her in her own role currently).

I don't understand why he gets so much hate, but ehy, people need to find someone to hate, right ? Since I have been watching dota 2. Maelk never struck me as a special player. I mostly know him for his venomance vs mouz and that he is very vocal about things. He is a good player for sure but there are many like him now. I'm sure he is a great guy but his interest in dota seems limited the best. He announced his retirement at ti2 and recently the whole story about forgetting to qualify for ems after being upset that no us teams were allowed.

He even stepped up for a 2 weeks in EG, took the captain slot, called the shots in the team and EG were actually winning a lot in this period. Obviously, he cares and wants the team to succeed. Also, he's been pretty much the only NA pro DotA player for the longest time back when he was on MYM with Pusher, Mealk, Mania, Lacoste and PLaymate. I don't see how anyone can doubt his attitude, tbh. If people judge him from the way he acts on his stream when he plays pubs, that's retarded, if I may say so. Stuff like restreaming g-league and then attacking godz when asked to stop. I occasionally watch his stream and enjoy his humor but sometimes he has no boundaries and just acts like a complete idiot.

Irrational hate based on anecdotal evidence by a few random people here and there. We can take a look at both Dendi and Singsing, both of which have TERRIBLE personalities on stream. For the sake of the argument, Sing_Sing trolls every pub he plays, feeds 10 rapiers for every 1 rapier demon feeds, and completely disregards teammates during normal MMing. You can say whatever you want about this, but he essentially ruins mming for 4-9 other people, which is something people accuse Demon of doing. Yet Sing_Sing maintains massive popularity among the masses for his antics. Then look at Dendi. The guy flames literally every single pub match he plays in, berating his teammates and simply not giving a damn about anything. The amount of flame coming out of Dendi would outpace Demon's flaming 1000:1, and yet he's the most popular player in Dota. You can say whatever you want about their skills, and sure, Dendi is a better play than Demon, but at the end of the day, alot of the hate at Demon has simply become, hate Demon because he's demon, and not for any real rational reasons. If people REALLY cared about manners and behaving as a professional, the shit Dendi does on a daily basis would never fly. Not sure how many people followed WC3 dota, but Dendi has been a historically bad mannered player that constantly flames his teammates, and yet somehow he gets a free pass in Dota2 thanks to public perception.

I'd advise ppl trying him, his heal is pretty broken in early skirmishes and can even counter ganks pretty nicely. Sorry, I should have specified that my comments on Tree were a joke. I haven't tried 6.77c Tree yet. If I were seriously going to consider buffing him it would be to split the ult into two components (one a disarm and the other an immoblize) and only have bkb/mantaing remove the disarm aspect of the ult.

Dendi doesn't flame every game, I think I've seen him flame people one time recently and that's it (since I started following dota 2 history) Demon doesn't have the charm that Sing or Dendi has (to me it's one of the boringest streams there is despite the skill level), so ofcourse he gets a shorter leash. It's not like popularity is distributed evenly

I'll watch his stream from time to time but once he gets in the mode of talking more than actually playing the game he's in he becomes insufferable to me. When it degrades (which it certainly will) to the demon fucking around, singing, dancing, flexing masturbation hour I have to turn it off. The immaturity level is just through the roof. I mean there's playing and having fun and then there's being a clown and being way too full of yourself.

If people judge him from the way he acts on his stream when he plays pubs, that's retarded, if I may say so. you realize since that era he's only been relevent if FeaR carries him, right? There are a reason many pros have come and gone and not wanted to team up with fear, and it's because DeMoN is attached. Puppy has probably been the most vocal about this. You can also see gems of DeMoN talking to fear (while streaming for some reason) where he gives speeches about how bad his teammates are and how he will have to carry them, or he has to boot them and all this other junk. This was during the bulba era and it was very obnoxious. Aside from a few big plays here and there vs 2nd tier competition, demon hasn't been a top player in any role: mid or suicide, in dota 2. Not even in the western scene. The best thing that will come from demon retiring (if its true) is fear can truly build something around himself without any drama attached.

also it's not entirely irrational to hate one thing and like something similar. I mean everyone has preferences, you can like comedy and not like every comedian.
