IRC chatter should remain in IRC - http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=tl.dota2

Posts that relate to topics with their own thread, such as in News, Tournaments or Strategy should go in those threads.

I doubt its going to happen. I'm pretty sure it will turn out to be as negative and bad idea, like it was for Spotify (music streaming service). They integrated facebook as their primary option when you were making an account. People got so negative and mad that they eventually changed it back to the normal, leaving the facebook sign-in optional.

Maybe to prevent those people who "write stupid shit" in the chat channels? Twitch chat is the worst place to be after youtube's comment section.

Usually i dislike facebook integration, but i'm fine with this if it does the job. But i'm also sure that it will be optional because there are people who doesn't use or even have facebook.

Well there's two obvious retorts to this:

1) She doesn't appear to be being used competitively either, as I pointed out.

2) Did I say the word balance? Game designers like to account for most levels of play to some degree. The fact that brood mothers is now sitting below a difficult character like meepo in PUG's should still raise some eyebrows.

You should have then started your discussion with data from dota-academy and not from dotabuff. Anti-Mage has a winrate of 41%. Does he need a buff? So yeah, bringing up pub-stats in the first place is wrong. Don't do it.

.

You don't understand statistic's if you think there wrong, there simply gathered data, which your choosing to interpret a certain way.

They are what they are. I did not make a comment on balance. I am merely disappointed that broodmother appears to be struggling in all levels of play both in disorganized pugs and at seeing play in tournaments.

No one said anything about buffs. Read.

This is like the second coming of puzzy wuzzy.

Also i love SF in pubs for his recovering ability and strong 1v1.

Im curious, what exactly can SF do to recover? He's dependent on gaining levels and stacking soul count to force his opponent out of the lane. You can stack the small camps to recover but aside from that, what makes him a "strong" hero to recover with?

Built in low cooldown creep-clearing ability. A less than ideal start on SF can still allow you to farm insanely fast if given a bit of room past the laning phase. And he doesn't need anything but level 7 for this.
To compare, if an AM has a shitty earlygame he wont recover fast, because he needs his Bfury to start getting forward and farming.

SF thrives in the mid game, he's almost the very definition of a mid game hero because having the bonus 72 damage (from 36 souls) can virtually obliterate anyone on the map during that time and a full or two hit raze combo can instantly kill supports or along with his ult. AM getting set back on Battlefury hurts of course but AM or hard carries in general only grow exponentially stronger whereas SF phases out as he reaches the late game.

Like others mentioned, SF snowballs hard but all of it is due to him making the best use of the mid game as possible, so setting him back playing catch up in levels can hurt hard. SF ideally wants to always be ahead in levels (SF always needs to lane alone etc.) to make sure he can snowball well.

Also using razes to clear waves despite their low mana cost individually does have a cost and you need razes to fight agaisnt heroes as SF. It's only a good idea to use razes liberally like clearing waves or camps when SF has either rune control or access to bottle crowing imo, SF has virtually no way to regain mana in lane without his bottle.

I don't think it's to prevent anyone from writing stupid shit. I'm positive it's for more marketing, and I fucking hate that shit...

Yeah, so the app it wants you to use will make posts for you on your timeline. That's just awesome, I always wanted "Cecek is now watching "Dendi plays Matchmaking" at Twitch.tv/dendi" on my timeline.

It's optional and there is millions of more people than in twitch. So it shouldn't be surprising.

Blizzard tried implementing a feature where anyone who posts on their b.net forums will also reveal their real ID names as well, only to keep it as it is now because of the heavy backlash of people who wished to remain anonymous. It was because the quality of the posts from trolls and spam were so bad that they thought of the idea in the first place as a means to stop them.

While im against the idea and agree that having access to your Facebook will give them marketing data, removing the anonymity in twitch chat will undoubtably have an impact one way or another.

SF does very well in the late game as well, because of how quickly he farms, so it's not unrealistic to be up one, or maybe even two big items when compared to the most farmed hero on the enemy team. Obviously, once the game goes VERY late and people start getting full inventories, this is less of a factor, but any hero with an inventory full of items is going to be good to have, regardless.

And you don't always need to solo, when he's picked in pro games, it's not uncommon at all to give him the safe lane farming role, and by doing this, you ensure that he will farm somewhat safely, to be able to get that 12 min lothar + treads for example, at the cost of a couple of levels.

Also when trying to catch up, you kind of have to rely on your team giving you space to farm, so just avoid fighting and use your razes to farm.

I stopped watching EE stream the first time he turned it on after his dreamhack victory. I just can't watch him.

SF only gets to catch up if the other team leaves him alone. Otherwise, he's just an ATM because he has zero survivability or escaping power without items.

sf just needs his team to pay attention to the map, its so easy to counter gank for him with a hero like jakiro or rubick. provided the sf isnt terrible

The thing is, because SF has no disables/escapes and poor survivability, it's not exactly easy to countergank for SF unless you were already camping him beforehand (in which case, any hero can play catch-up if his team is following him around and making sure nothing happens to him). If you get behind as SF it's so easy to get to the point where one round of spells will just kill you--not even allowing the 3 seconds for someone's TP to finish for a countergank.

He has no way to stall a gank if they come for him. Either he's farmed enough already to survive (high enough levels, HP items, BKB, Lothar's), or he just dies.

Back when SF was run regularily, the top chinese teams (Nv.cn especially) would often hide an ES or similar support behind the tower for SF. While he does have extremely poor survivability, in a good countergank SF can just doubleraze for fairly easy kills if the gankers whenselves are caught off-guard. 3 second TPs will indeed be too long in the age of smoke.

SF is also much more viable on the radiant side due to being able to go to the easy camp for souls
