which purge? diffusal is the only one that kills the golem. SD only does the normal damage, dusa won't kill til 16, all the other purges don't exactly work.

Gyro especially is rediculous with warlock. fatal bonds flak cannon X_X he's a support hero even if he's not playing 5 pos.

And no, a hero isn't just support just because. If a warlock goes solo mid and buys no wards, no courier, no generic support items and takes farm, he really isn't playing as a support at fucking all.

Necrolyte is another farming support. as is enigma, windrunner, treant, puck ect.

Same with necrolyte, especially necrolyte, he's there to carry, not support. Having an ability that allows you to help your entire team doesn't make you a support. Lmfao. Support is a role used to classify heroes, that funnily enough, support their team as their main role. Calling a hero a support when they are not doing anything that a support should do is simply put, stupid. Just like how VS wouldn't remain in the role of support if you were to go for a carry VS(Hasn't happened in ages, but yea). And yea, dignitas runs him solo-farm near-exclusively on fogged. And they do not play him as a support, at all, he does not buy support items nor does he play like a support. So i'm not sure what part of him is being a support.

With warlock, you're basically going all-in with a strategy revolved around the warlock pick. He's not a casual support. That's why in recent games it's either raped, or been completely shit on.

He offers little to nothing in a trilane or in a dedicated puller, lane securer over nearly any other support hero in the pool. He's not a casual support. That's why in recent games it's either raped, or been completely shit on. I wouldn't say its all-in. He's a hero that can 5-man better than most heroes, and his ultimate is also relatively good for pushing towers. He's just really weak to any kind of split pushing, and specific timings of ganks work really well against teams that involve is composition. He's a strong hero - I wouldn't classify him as "all-in" any more than other pure-teamfight heroes.

I do get it. Supports are in a certain game, the heroes that are there to support the rest of the team in terms of items or simply lane presence. If a hero does not do any such thing, they are no longer a support. If you're playing a first position necrolyte who is focusing on items to carry, he's not playing a support, so calling him a support is fucking retarded because that's not the role he has in said game.

calling them such would devalue the term completely

The opposite also applies. Support sven, support mirana, support gyro, etc. It's the farm priority that defines the role.
