Its always chaos knight + wisp / nyx / magnus / luma etc... Where are all the fun heroes i used to see in dota 1 competition. Like slark, Rikimaru, Bloodseeker etc :S | ||

Anyways, how come the competitive hero pool is so stale in dota2 compared to dota 1? Or did dota 1 suffer something similar but i cant remember it Oo | ||

We have seen alot of less standard heroes come out in drafts recently as teams are experimenting. Treant, Spectre, Warlock, Riki, Meepo, Kunkka, Ursa etc.. Oh and bloodseeker was picked, but if I recall he failed miserably, because simply Bloodseeker is probably one of the worst heroes in the game for competitive teams. He is just so bad. | ||

Years ago that would be like 20 heroes. The problem is that always will be heroes that are 1st pick or 1st ban material, like KotL, Nyx, Bat, Wisp nowadays, and when you see them you think "oh fuck this sh1* again". Remember before Lanaya nerf when everybody complained that she was picked/ban in 90% of games? | ||

And because of the nature of Dota, I don't think that there will ever be an extended period without no changed to the meta. The meta might change slowly however | ||

And there were always a bunch of heroes that were autoban/firstpick material, they just change occasionally after buffs/nerfs. | ||
