A good difficulty system makes your enemies smarter(Which there is luckily mods that try to achieve) A shitty difficulty system just increases damage taken whilst decreasing damage dealt. But yea an RPG as meepo travelling through caves hunting for jewels and shit would be awesome. I'm kind of hoping someone uses the eventual custom maps to make some awesome 'campaigns'.

Oblivion also had the most epic quest ever. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Whodunit * Skyrim also sucked hard if you enjoy playing mage.

Requiem alone makes them smarter, Skyrim Requiem is probably the hardest RPG i've played in a long time. Master difficulty in it just makes the enemies use their weapons more effectively, you die in the same amount of hits, but they block more, bash you, ect ect.

Faction quests were cut short alot in Skyrim. :< Oblivion also had the most epic quest ever. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Whodunit * Skyrim also sucked hard if you enjoy playing mage. Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood was definatelly far better than Skyrim's. The game may not be that good compared to others, but that questline in Oblivion was just amazing. I like the idea behind the way you cast spells in Skyrim, but the spells are just boring. They could have done much better with dual casting, mixing spells, etc.

What's up with that? ![]() It also made no sense from a lore perspective to play mage imo.

At least in Skyrim the leveling system is weighted, so casting stuff in the middle of nowhere is not really efficient. Alas, modding solves most of the things. If you do want to replay Skyrim, make sure to get Khajiit Speak and play as one. It is just epic. Edit: let's get this thread back on track. In the red corner we have RRRRRRRRRUBICK! His opponent in the blue corner is CARL, THE INVOKER. Who will win?

Magic is something anybody can learn so you don't need any sort of pre-destiny when you're born to become a mage. all the recent elder scrolls games have taught me is everyone great spends time in jail before they get famous. ![]() as for mages In skyrim you are a decendent of Talos, a mighty warrior In Oblivion you are the champion of Akatosh IN Morrowind you are the nevarine, all of which were said to be known for their physical skill in the prophecies about them

There's nothing wrong with not liking TES. You're not missing much. Everything good that ever came from Bioware was Black Isle-related.
