IRC chatter should remain in IRC - http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=tl.dota2

Posts that relate to topics with their own thread, such as in News, Tournaments or Strategy should go in those threads.

I think it's just harder to fissure block, people can squeeze through places they couldn't before

This. Pathing in general is better in DotA 2--just looking at how creep blocking and body-blocking heroes feels different in DotA 2 compared to DotA 1.

What? For me it feels the other way round. I feel the pathing in Dota2 is pretty screwed up in comparison to DotA. Creepblocking and bodyblocking are the same to me.

Units are much smarter in dota2, apart from occasional bugs where they get stuck in trees, it's subjective which one is better

If ES ever gets a blink though, he becomes such a beast. Just yesterday in the DK vs LGD games, those echoes were doing so much damage, at one point he 4 man echoed just outside the base and took everyone down to like 50%, that is just crazy for a support, and wasn't even that early game.

The more I watch Asian Doto the more I think EU/NA teams are bad, save for a couple. The Western teams seem to be afraid of trying out something new and always go with strats and lineups that have been ran over and over again. Remember how Luna was considered pub trash-tier before TI2?

I want Drow and Silencer in the CM pool already, this game needs real ranged carries (and before you ask, no, I don't consider consider 300-350 as "real" range; Gyro might be the only exception due to Flak's insane range).

They aren't picked because they are ranged though. Clinkz is barely picked and when he is empire uses him to carry them through the mid game usually with super strong ganks.

DK is picked in pushing lineups and his strong solo mid ability. No other ranged hero really provides the same (luna can solo mid sure but not well verse certain heroes).

Creep blocking is definitely different in DotA 2. I remember early in beta hearing complaints of "you can't creep block in DotA 2 anymore!", and most streamers needing a few games to really creep block as well as they could in DotA 1.

I am definitely much worse at creep blocking in dota2 than DotA1. It's pretty hard. :/

Am i the only one really fearing that IceFrog might hit sven really hard with the nerfbat?
I think hes in a good place right now, and i enjoy seeing him in games, Puppey seemed super upset over him, but the chinese play him in that roaming/support/initiation role.

I'd like his ult to go back to either being purgeable or just getting removed when he pops magic immunity.

Sven already had some minor nerfs, Icefrog isn't nerfing stuff that's isn't obviously broken without a few months for people to figure it out

Thats what he usually does, but the last few months the patches have been super volatile.

6.75 had some big changes, but rest of them were just adjustments, mostly reverts or further buffs/reworks

Svens ult used to be purge-able and that alone made him completely useless as a carry. Would be too big of a nerf.
