But anyway, in icefrog we trust. As for other heroes who need nerfs these are my ideas. TA: Remove 1 charge from refraction at each level, psionic traps now cost more mana to create. Alternately on the traps, less hp, a slower fade time and maybe a 1 second arming period so they can be dispatched. They aren't really traps as much as a long range slow. Bat rider: I don't really know what to do with this guy, but I don't want to see his turn rate slowed. Some damage to his armor may be called for, cause with less hp spells just rip him. Dark seer: Removing some of that nasty high base armor could see him being less effective at diving, 1 v 2'ing and creep skipping. Jakiro: Flat 100 damage is sick, make it do damage over time based on freeze time up to 100, and if this is too cruel maybe raise its damage cap a tad at level 4. BH: This one is really tough to think about, but even a small decrease in movement speed might make lose some chases he would normally take. Base damage alternately could weaken him. Dirge: I would love to suggest something but I haven't spent time at all analyzing the incremental effectiveness of this hero's facets. Some obvious targets are: Zombie spawn rate or zombie attack speed, base stats and stat growth and perhaps movement speed. I have been a big fan of these recent buff everyone patches, but to see a few god-tiers get a small chip taken out would be totally rad. Really I think TA needs the most adjustment as she is just too damn universal, there is basically no group of 4 heroes who wouldn't want her with them. No morphling repeats though. He had a case of the 'svens' where small buffs piled up and people eventually realized how damn good he was. I'd rather see a hero get chipped away over 2 or 3 balance patches instead of lopped off in 1.

Undying and BH aren't in and of themselves too strong--its just a game that favors melee facerush heroes naturally values those 2 heroes highly. They'll drop off in value naturally as the game shifts toward other strategies.

I think it's her ability of winning any 1v1 matchup on mid with equal skill is what should be looked at, and nerfing early damage bonuses should do just that. One of the biggest things in DotA 1 was many skills removed multiple refraction charges where in DotA 2 they now remove only 1. How many times does this hero win a fight by 1 or 2 autoattacks, fairly often and more often its even a less slim margins. Removing just 1 charge really would make her more vulnerable to death. Really good TA's come in with refraction timing and deflect 12 damage instances, 10 is still more than enough to cream people but considerably less than 12 when you really cut the fine line. Other than this hurting her mana in some way would be great.

DotA 2 is a smaller map and you can really see it on the mid ramps space and the smaller ramps ( specifically bottom river radiant ramps and dire ancients/roshan ramp.) These things and the shorter lanes really do tweaks things more than may be apparent. It certainly makes traps more effective and has made some aoe spells particularly potent in those chokes. I believe it was chaun who commented on how dota 1 is often much more forgiving based on lane lengths and map size, but didn't elaborate.

I think you literally have to destroy his skill kit so much that he can't work in any lane at all for him to not be picked anymore. His synergy with other heroes is just too good due to vaccum.

We all see this hero too much and it would be nice for there to be some scenarios where the hero doesn't work. With vaccum being as good as it is, you need to destroy his laning for him to no longer be viable. And that'd be pulling another morphling.

There's honestly a lot of evidence pointing to DS being fine in the current version and being over-banned/over-picked by mid-level teams out of habit from 6.74

It's really not great to have DS play at the 4th position...
