Well, I have lost a game when I was like 33-10 with Sven, full slot. This was a random pub game a month ago. Think I was playing against Magina, Yurnero, Viper, Tidehunter and some other meele carry, like bh, bs or naix. :-D

When he pops bkb, run for your life. He isn't rly mobile

press the "watch" tab --> recent game tab ---> filter type in your name and sort by skill.
live games are sorted by skill. so if you on page 1-5 your probably decent. although there are still many trash players there.

I love posts like these.
If you are on the first 5 pages you are better then 95% of people who play this game.
Thats better then "decent".

wow... this weekend is really horrible for me. Low tier players party up, got to my mmr and feed. 5-6 games in a row teams are just full of players with 9+ deaths... 2 out of 5 games are 20+ mins long ~_~.... I need to take a brake from playing dota this weekend for sure Thank god Dreamhack is free.

Not really... have you never seen a player who doesn't know how to do simple things? Before diretide was released ... it was so common.

Is there a resource site/page where I can learn the advance techniques/mechanics of Dota? I played Dota 1, but didn't really grasp the competitive scene back then.
I mean advance stuff such as creep stacking for pull, ward placements, etc.

TL has a lot of material (and links to material) on those two.

i loled. if this was hon those in the first 5 pages would range from 2100 to 1700. there are some very trash players in those games. but i guess you will never know because you're not in that range.

Question: What is the best (fastest and most precise) way for Templar Assassin to use her traps?
I watch the pros play from player perspective and I'm not quite sure what they are doing. It doesn't look like they ever use the sub-skill that pops the nearest trap (because that is unreliable if you have traps nearer to you than the one you want to pop by mistake). Are they clicking to select the trap, hitting Q to pop it, then reselecting their character?? I watched Scandal, and it does NOT seem like he is doing this because his character select never changes away from himself.
Is there like a double-tap R or something that pops the trap you just placed? I feel like I am missing something (maybe something obvious) here...

Clicking the trap and detonating it with their own hotkey causes no animation.
---> Click em.
Keep in mind that DotA 2 defaults back to your main character when you have nothing selected so select trap, press Q, rightclick means the rightclick will be a command for TA herself already.

iirc player's perspective doesn't show what control group the player has selected
if a trap was activated and TA did the animation, the player used the nearest trap skill, if there's no animation then the trap was manually selected and activated
