For me, it's not really the usage of her ult, but the fairly passive game tempo she can create. I remember several iG games in DotA 1 where they got insanely ahead early (the game was basically over at like 15 mins with Arcanes+Vit on Zhou)--but the game had to drag out much longer because iG couldn't really high ground safely until Zhou finished Heart+Diffusal. The other team has no way to actually get back into the game because of Naga's inherent safety, but at the same time, iG couldn't end it either, so what resulted was a long passive game where the result was more or less a given, but the game had to draw out much longer than necessary to actually get there. | ||

If you watched TI2 you'd really understand the hate of Naga. "Oh look big team fight, Naga ports in casts song team runs out safely from getting smoke ganked, back to farming" <queue crowd booing because of defensive naga song> Just having the ult used defensively to ruin teamfights is enough to hate her. Only good thing that came out of Naga that weekend was "The Play" Not really much set up... was just hey look 5 heroes, song and either run because you used it defensively or hey look easy set up for team wiping the opposition. The casters seemed to really get annoyed with her aswell spending time hyping up this massive team fight that was going ot happen or important game turning smoke gank then having it fall flat because of 1 ability that kills the mood that was set up. | ||
