you might be right i just always noticed the winner was never the winner so figured it must be rosh kill.

Friend and I play together a ton, always queue in very high games, literally all games in very high over the last 3+ months we've played together. I've been playing a ton of diretide lately, winning and losing is sketchy in this mode as the winner seems to be who last hits rosh in p3. Fast forward about a week of diretide with only a few real games in between (yes item whoring. !_!) So we start playing real games again and we got 3 games in 'Normal' 2 in 'High' and 2 in 'Very High'. Normal? What the hell? 200+ games together with my friend and all have been very high, after a week of diretide we're getting normal and high games? Something doesn't seem right... This scares me as those games we got in were completely awful. it wouldnt matter because you guys could just steamroll through normal back into very high if you actually were that good, just play like a week and you'll be fine

Regardless how easy/hard it is to get back if they are actually mixing mmr's valve is fucking retarded.

This is corroborated by the fact that fresh accounts with only Diretide games could repeatedly and reliably queue into one another for the purpose of setting the Rosh kill records. If winning/losing Diretide games affected MMR significantly, then those accounts would very quickly spread out their MMRs and be unable to reliably queue into one another. If you're getting games way outside your MMR, it's likely that it's just that the lack of people queueing for regular DotA and not Diretide just caused you to get games outside your normal rating.

It's insanely dumb if silly little candy games can effect your actual matchmaking rating forcing you to play garbage games for 1 day, 2, days, 1 week or 2 months depending on how hard/easy it is for you to get back into very high. The fact that it does it at all is absurd. You're also lying to yourself if you think randoming is just as fast considering some portion of the time you're going to hero that makes no sense with the other picks. You can usually make up for it if you're playing well below your level but it's not a guarantee so your comment that it's just as fast is pretty nonsensical and pointless. Maybe you said it to try and talk down to me? I don't see any other point. I have 3 accounts in 'very high' from 51 to 60% win rate, I'm not good, I'm not awful but you're pretty silly to make such a comment literally not knowing about me at all. the entire point is to highlight that diretide games might effect your normal mmr, not for everyone to make assumptions about my skill or to tell me how/what i should do about it. maybe we can address the topic?

If you're getting games way outside your MMR, it's likely that it's just that the lack of people queueing for regular DotA and not Diretide just caused you to get games outside your normal rating. if they are fresh accounts though and only accepting the queue fully (they abandon and load-in if not vs the group) wouldn't they constantly be winning and losing against each other so they'd essentially be the bottom of the barrel in the mmr ranges. I'm not sure how many 5 man stacks queue from that range for diretide but it's probably not very hard to match up at the bottom with a stack. I suppose it could just be lack of normal people queuing but seems odd to get vs like whitebeard stack one game and then play normal games the next. Something definitely is strange or my experiences are just outlying phenomenons. I've never never experienced such a large swing in rated games.

READING IS HARD! =x A lot of ex-HoN players have no idea that it doesn't damage invis heroes (it does in HoN). Zeus is a really rare pick at most levels of play. edit: It does reveal the invis heroes even if it doesn't damage them. Maybe they meant that? I doubt it though. Sidenote - agh's giving Zeus ult the ability to damage invisible heroes seems like a nice upgrade (better than just upping the damage)

They wanted a snipe. On November 13 2012 10:51 Spicy_Curry wrote: Blahz0r is a zues picker Playing Zeus while half afk makes me seem kinda useful.
