The Alpha and Centaur aura aren't a benefit exclusive to Chen because anyone can buy and HotD, dominate a creep, and sell the helm after.
32% extra damage worth it on it's own without the auras.
In practice it will be much less than 32% because it won't have 100% uptime, and Chen's own damage is much less than having an Agi carry, which may in and of themselves also bring a % damage boost in the form of -armor or similar.
assuming he's an agi carry instead of chen he can at most add 11% to the total damage of his team, penitence adds 32% every other 7 seconds. thats average of 16% already on it's own more than an agi carry, and then add some rapiers and drow aura ect to chen and he's dealing quite a bit of damage as well. let's say he's half as effective as an agi carry in terms of damage he's still adding over 20% damage to his team which is like having two agi carrys and 4 rapiers 1 deadalus 1 mjollnir isn't exactly half the damage of an agi carry it's likely 70-80% of it
yeah i have the same feeling. So instead of debuffing rosh you have to try buffing your own team. At the same time aura buff are not shared between 2 teams :-/
would it be prudent to try to use silencer as a carry and try to mass feed him or have him on team with tinker absorbing int as much as humanly possible so his int is rediculous?
well if you're trying to feed him int, he needs to be in fights, which means he isn't farming, and also means he is not allowed to instantly die, which he isn't very good at. He also sucks at flash farming which makes it difficult for him to get rolling without being undisturbed for long periods

If the target's Int is 0, you don't gain the +Int for killing them in DotA 2.
Farming higher-leveled heroes is impractical because you have to wait on death timers and can't farm them fast enough. And level 1 heroes dont have enough Int to give you.
Tinker doesn't have this problem because he only requires kills to stack Bloodstones--the victims don't need to be leveled.
Pure damage doesn't seem to work very well on rosh. I massed soul boosters on obsidian and it only was doing a fraction of the 400+ pure damage pure shot. Or maybe mass divines+crit is much better against a mere 50 armor.

50 armor is 75% physical reduction. Obsidian is maxed out theoretically with 5 Hexes and a Mjollnir. You can deal ~300 physical DPS and 700 pure DPS per second. The 700 pure translates into 2800 physical. Drow deals 3000 DPS with 4 Butterflies, a Buriza, and a Rapier. At values of 50 armor or above, pure damage is better.
Yet the way record-setters are doing it involves mass armor reduction. At 20 armor or so, Drow is much, much better than Obsidian since 20 armor is only 55% physical reduction. There aren't enough pure damage dealers.
For OD Hex is better than Soul Booster/Bloodstone since 35 INT = 455 mana while Bloodstone only gives 400. You also get AS from the AGI in the Hex.

There is very simple method to avoid this bug. When game starts simple wait 5-10 sec and then buy. In some games if you try buy to fast , when game isint loaded in 100% you got bug.
Ah yeah, forgot to mention that the record holders for cycle 1 also dominated a wolf and a centaur with HotD's, sold later. Funnily enough, they left the centaur and the wolf out of range for the final fight for some reason? Who knows.
R.evo would you be able to include me into these math things? I'm interested, may even be interested enough to take part in the record attempts if you still don't have enough people :D

No, because the first cycle had two records; one exploited and one non exploited, which is what I did my write up on. Cycle 2 has another record, which has some differences from cycle 1's record, for example they used an Alchemist instead of an SF and prioritised more daedaluses.
