Just a couple of complaints. Hugely one sided games seem to be all I've been in. I also dislike that there's no way to surrender, and there is that 24 hr penalty thing. So you're stuck for 20 minutes in an unwinnable game. Maybe that's just the nature of the genre, but I'm not interested in wasting 20 minutes when there's no hope in hell of a win.

It's a sort of similar game but has a surrender option, but the game mechanics as well as the existence of a surrender option actually makes games much more one-sided because people give up sooner than in dota.

I've played League. People don't tend to give up even when the option is there, so even if they stuck it into Dota2 I don't think that it would help much with the complaint I have.

horrible attack animation and damage utterly useless ult the global mana passive is nice but a waste of a skill slot imo, and doesn't seem to transition well into the lategame which leaves her with a semi-good nuke and a crappy stun she's also frail as hell and really slow. Windrunner just seems better in every possible way.

Her nuke has a huge range, and does more damage at it levels, which is good for harassing or bursting someone down. It also is a huge aoe slow. Her Freeze is just good all around for disables that scales decently. It's also good for taking out neutrals in the mid game when you need to catch up on farm. So all in all, she's very strong early, does decent mid game but is fragile all game. So with her, you have to make yourself useful and impactful in the early game and try to get as much of a lead as you can and ride on it. Pretty much this. One thing I'll add is that she has 600 attack range, which, while much more common than it used to be, is still nonetheless a valuable quality for a support to have, and one which a lot of other common supports don't have. Her teamfight power is mediocre, but in terms of the things you'd want a support to accomplish early game, she has most of them (probably only lacking pushing power). Decent damage nukes and reliable disables means that she is a powerful roaming ganker. Long attack range, long-range nukes, and mana regeneration aura means she's strong on lane. Frostbite's increased duration against creeps means she can farm jungle very quickly to level up if none of these things are practical.

that means I'm free to ignore her forever as for the role of the support, as far as I know: buy courier, wards, counterwarding, carry the smoke/dust/whatever feed your carries as much as possible (this means no last hitting, saving them when possible, setting up kills, if possible letting them get the kills) try to die as little as possible help in teamfights obviously stacking neutrals, pulling am I missing something? edit: as for her being a really good early game ganker, I can see why but isn't she just...well, too slow? with wards/courier I have no money for boots/TP without last hitting as for jungling, how does this fare with mana? because god knows her regular attack does close to 0 damage and constantly nuking sounds like a huge drain on the mana

The pull camp farm is almost always given to the support so they can pick up some levels/gold, although in a trilane that would be given to #4 instead of CM who is more often played at the #5. CM is strong at roaming early game. Make your money off kill gold by setting up ganks. In the last patch CM Morph was an incredibly strong mid lane. Anyone who can burst can easily get kills off the CM spells.
