Still incredibly strong that its not even funny. tower still melt at pretty much same rate and power leveling is still as effective if you get lucky with creep camps. Rosh now require you to tank it a bit but you can still get it somewhere around 10 mins mark. The only weakness of running lycan in competitive games is laning will have a lot of troubles. It's no surprise, that he's still dealing massive amounts of damage, because his damage wasn't touched ![]() I really don't get why so many people have a problem of laning Lycan in a setup / competetive environment. It has been done several times before and while there were no significant changes to his laning, which is just as weak as any other carries, that makes it so hard as many people claim it to be. He offers about as much as yurnero or void in lane, if protected. Wolves still deal good dmg and have high ms and if paired with a stunner they will unleash their power. Anyway: Today I found out, that soloqueueing for CM mode only doesn't even take that long. So today I had 6 games and I was the drafter in 3 of them - worked out perfectly each single time and won. My last match went extraordinarily well, I got together with 4 ukranian people, who said they qualified for WCG ukraine - not sure if it's true, but they definetly played good, that's for sure. Also had 2 very weird drafts. Ogremagi & clockwerk being 1st / 2nd pick. The other time the captain wanted a trilane of Rubick, Tide & TA. Pretty much needless to mention, that we lost those bigtime. The 3rd game I lost was jsut due to very very bad execution and a Pudge rolling over us. For all the solo queuers out there I can really advise CM. For some reason there's no flame / griefing and enemies even isntantly pause for you, if one of your teammates DCs. If your team is being behind a lot there's pretty much no "fingerpointing", except when the captain did a complete shit draft and didn't listen to what the others had to say or you really did fuck up, but even then it's all going on in a very mannered way. Overall a very different MM expirience and I highly suggest to try it. I might sound biased now, but the only "downside" to some people might be, that there are 8/10 people russian in each game. But they are the kind of russians, who actually can get their shit together, unless it's one of them drafting - might as well be bad luck from my side so far.

Painuser is amusing to listen to during ban/picks. Last game he insisted to get bs mid, got it after some whining and went on to lose horribly to Catz' invoker. I would watch a show that was just PainUser being miced and filmed without his knowledge, solo queueing Dota 2. The whinging and rage that would come out of him would be pretty hilarious. i'll bet any money in the world that he thinks sa is super op lol Someone in the game with Catz, maybe ddoro, wanted Select to draft SA because he's super op. :-D

It looks like his rocket flare is pretty amazing for farming other lanes and assisting ganks cross map but the pure damage of the rapid fire skill is godly. Ill just assume you leave the cogs for last since it seems only like a team fight weapon. http://www.dota2alttab.com/#Clock Think this is the generic build, and you can probably just switch it up based on the circumstances

Ill just assume you leave the cogs for last since it seems only like a team fight weapon. Itemwise you generally want to tank up and get some basic mana management items in between. For me it's usually AB+RoB & VG or Hood - whatever is more suitable in that particular game. Blademail also is a really good item on him, because you will often be taking the initial barrage of attacks, when initiating. Scepter is a real nice addition as luxury item, if you should have the money, which shouldnt be hard if you're ganking properly with the 6.75 goldchanges. Key to clockwerk is obviously landing his hook. Skillbuild is fairly simple: You get one of each at the beginning - always. Usually you max out battery assault first. One level of rocketflare is enough to get farm even against a difficult lane and to scout obviously. One level of cogs is enough to keep enemies from fleeing and making them eat your battery assault. Especially after the last duration buff it recieved. Many people underestimate the damage, which can be done by battery assault [ 225/525/825/1125 over 10.5 seconds if you're only hitting one target] - the immense chasing ability it provides is obvious. There are situations where you max out rocketflare before maxing batter in a global based lineup for example [AA, Exort Invo, Zeus, WIsp etc], but this usually takes coordination with your team, which is hard to pull off in pubs. Can't think of any other situations atm, but there definetly are some. Hope I could help out.

Battery Assault simply does nothing for anything you're going to be trying to accomplish on hard lane (long range csing, screwing up creep pulls, etc.), while Rocket Flare can be good for those things. Battery Assault is indeed better if you're mid.

This 2 year beta only seems to be hindering the games success at this point as you need an invite to even play.

I want BB so badly. Or, medusa. Or centaur. But i never like to use him anymore since he no longer can deny himself but I want to try his new buff. And, slark, where is my favourite little fishman.

I'm curious because I'm relatively new and I'm not sure about the improvement process. Would be interesting to hear what good players have to say.

Did you just play for a while and get good with time or was there some kind of practice you were doing? Reading guides/strats or just figuring shit out on your own? Focus on a couple of heroes or try everything? I'm curious because I'm relatively new and I'm not sure about the improvement process. Would be interesting to hear what good players have to say. The best way to practice after you know most of what you need to know in the game is to start playing as good as you possibly can. Try playing each game by trying to do the absolute best you can and try to make 0 mistakes, obviously you will still make some mistakes, but learn from them and try to make as few as you can. I mean that on everything from last hitting to map awareness to team fight planning and control, and always spending time effectively. Sometimes its hard to find your own mistakes as you play the game, but generally if you die you may have made a mistake, or if you saw potential that you didn't exploit it could be a mistake as well, finding the balance of when you should be greedy and when you should be conservative is just about experience which comes from playing more. The more you try to play as perfectly as you can, the better and more consistent you will get. It's really a case of practice doesn't make perfect, but perfect practice makes perfect
