It's just especially nice as a hard laner because I don't get screwed if the support decides to buy Gauntlets instead of wards for me. I'll support no random gold the day I can guarantee that I won't get screwed by a support that refuses to buy courier/wards. Which will never happen. | ||

I found the best way to improve in every area of dota was to play with people who are better then me. They called the strats, plays etc (and I tried not to feed). | ||

It is damn fun to play different hero in different games and more so you need to be creative enough to make the shitty line up works sometimes (i remember my mek+treads+arcane on SF not long ago because of some BH last picked). And it feels good when you knew that you can play many different heroes at a decent level too. personally I really don't like seeing long time players who only play limited amount of heroes and refuse to try out/learn other heroes, they are just like those picky eaters irl, such a waste if you missed some of the best dished out there. hmmmm, i am hungry now. | ||

If there's only 1 set of 250 gold, then that's fine, but the way I see it, there're always at least couple people on each team playing random, and most of the time people use those gold to do some shenanigan stuffs, such as Jugg first boot with regen and gg branch, sf with almost 550 hp and +12 damage level 1, enigma/darkseer with full soul ring,..... It's nice if people are actually noob, go random to actually learn the game and don't have a clue what to do, but that seems to not be the case anymore. Most of the time you are on the back foot, and it's their game to lose the lane. Free gold is meant to assist people to learn the game, not for those i-can-play-every-heroes-so-i-go-random-but-hey-got-free-gold-too type of people. I also think HoN's free courier, no random gold is better if your reason to go random is to get money to buy those. | ||
