EPTI was wondering however what kind of stats I should be aiming for for Nightmare act2. I feel like the game can get a bit more dangerous here. I looked at some other forums and some people were suggesting 12k hp at beginning of act2 but I breezed through it with less then 5k so I'm confused as to what I should be aiming for (they were admittedly very old posts). Is there a website that gives some ballpark figures for HC stats?

Long as you are paying attention to your gear and making improvements semi-steadily plus playing careful, you should have problems until at least Hell, probably Inferno. | ||

That's what I'm noticing this far. Once I get to act4 nightmare/hell I'll do a bit more research to not lose my character needlessly. I have to say, HC d3 is way more fun then normal. | ||

I'm new to this, didn't even do it on SC, but I have 6 machines available and am farming MP4 to gather another 3. I guess release could still count as season 1 but we would basically be able to use d3 vanilla progress for it. One thing we can be sure of (99% I guess) is that our progress now will contribute since we won't need to re-roll. All the leveling gear I've been saving will still be useful as well. Gotta look on the up-side .I just dinged Paragon 50 a couple days ago with my big (arcane) balls wizard. Maybe I'll try for 60! | ||

I take it you'll be taking a break until RoS hits then? Or are you gonna grind some more HC exp on an alt? I'd also like to pose an additional question to every other HC player here: What are your plans for when RoS hits? Will you start on the HC toon right away or explore/experiment in SC first? I'm personally going to just do a once through the Act 5 story and perhaps a couple of the new events/bosses so I know what to expect and then go right back into HC. If I get into the RoS beta beforehand, I might only do the Act5 story on my HC toon. | ||

I'm still grinding out some new levels since XP is shared account-wide on RoS, so might as well get more RoS levels for now. I won't play Softcore, will just start out at easy levels on Hardcore with good players playing with me when I'm learning the ropes My first order of business will be to get a Crusader to lvl 70, I mean it is the new character, gotta try it out. | ||

My guys are now up to levels 51/44/44/44/43, the last 4 of which are all on act 3 NM. I was surprised that a mallet lord in act 4 nightmare hits for over 10k hp though. I remember nightmare being easier than that! | ||
