Polt 2-0'd Supernova.
Tester/Trickster has always delivered steady results, despite not qualifying for open seasons 2 and 3.

Byun and Lyn have only been in code S once. Give em some more time before writing them off. Especially Byun since he had the misfortune of running into MC in the Ro16

Group E Group of Death. Jinro is gonna have a tough time getting out of that one :|
|
Some hard groups, its going to be so awsome to watch this!
|
Oh man, if oGs isn't careful, MC might have to face Supernova for a spot if Supernova drops his game against Polt. Polt picked well.....
|
|
group D, E and H will probably only be the ones i watch, D probably the hardest and who can resist our foregin superheroes?

I'd say HongUn is one of the top Protoss in Code S. I'd pick HongUn over San or Anypro anyday.
Byun is a sick macro Terran. Took out Zenio in a crazy game and made it into the Ro16.
Trickster is solid. Provides good results (even took out MVP in the Team League)
If there's anybody that hasn't been impressive, it's gotta be Fruitdealer

Could not wait for the Nada vs MKP !

Why would those guys drop out? Hongun got to ro8 last season, so did SC if I remember correctly, and he came very close to beating San. Trickster always delivers solid results as well. Most of the players you listed are pretty solid, in fact.

I don't fear Clide versus Jinro, but san versus Jinro and Nestea versus Jinro are going to be tough for him.
|
My predictions:
A: MC, SuperNova B: Top, Byun C: Losira, HongUn D: Alicia, MarineKing E: Jinro, San F: Killer, Lyn G: Anypro, Ensnare H: July, Inca

What? All of those players are solid. HongUn is insanely good and has always been in every GSL and he's always made it past the first round if I remember right. Out of the entire code S Fruitdealer is probably playing the weakest at the moment.

To be honest I am not so sure there is a clear cut group of death many people are talking about I see many ppl saying group D, but I guess that is because the entire group is pretty solid, all 4 players are good but none have yet to really win a championship. (I have not watched the MKP vs MVP match yet so give me a break if MKP won).
I think this Code S is lacking some star power but I guess without MVP and SlayerSBoxeR but I think they will be back next season. Group B is gona be one long day... TvT always seems to drag out as Tastosis would say.. late game of 50 apm. haha.

Predictions: Group A: oGsMC, oGsSupernova Group B: sCfOu, Byun Group C: IMLosira, Kyrix Group D: Alicia, oGsNada Group E: TLAF-Jinro, IMNestea Group F: TSL_Killer, FOXLyn Group G: ST_Virus, TSL_Trickster Group H: oGsInca, TLAF-Huk
|
Group A: oGsMC, oGsSupernova Group B: sCfOu, Byun Group C: IMLosira, MVPGenius Group D: MKP, oGsNada <--- Group of death, I wouldn't be surprised if Alicia topped the group. Group E: LiquidJinro, IMNesTea Group F: FOXLyn. CheckPrime.WE Group G: ST_Virus, anyproPrime. We Group H: STJuly, oGsInca. I would love Huk to go through, but his form hasn't seemed great recently, hopefully he picks back up for this GSL.
Group F is why I dislike the GSL group picking system. I would say every player in Group D is better than the players in Group F, but 2 of them will be going down to the Up/Down matches.
|
I'm Canadian so im all for Huk making it at least to round of 16 to put the critics away who said he got in by "luck" (Tasteless brought this up during one of his games earlier this year) PvP is not a luck matchup once you get to this skill level i think MC vs WhiteRa proves that stratagy is huge and micro is everything and Huk has it. I just can't wait for July vs Huk for some super gosu force fields

Group E is probably the best
