But I do agree with him that the Koreans are a bit more solid, not saying they are WAY WAY better than EU players, since I think the TOP Eu players can compete with Koreans. In FXOpen we saw Koreans dropping games left and right to not even really big names. And I'm aware that those were not MKP, MVP, NaDa etc, but still.

Well unless Lalush improves his ZvT in a hurry, Koreans are going to take the top 3 spots in FXOpen. Just saying.

Most of EU Top players weren't playing - just saying.

Huk's ability to place FF's are insane. IMO, shields if used correctly can dominate almost any game. On paper, it seems lik you have endless possabilities with shields, but I don't think the strategy and tactics have been fully worked out yet, but if anyone can do it Huk can.

Q : You are ranked number one in the European server, how do you compare Europe server against Korean server?

Huk : It only took me four days to be high ranked in Europe. Korean players practice more and play more solid styles. If any players who play on Korean ladder, I think they could be high ranked in European server.

-> Well obviously it only takes him a few days to be really high ranked on a server with a huge bonus pool when he is really good to begin with. DIMAGA, MaNa or any other top EU player could easily start a new account on US and get near 4000 or more in a few days if they grind the ladder. Thats just how the system works.

Doesn't everyone have the exact same amount of bonus pool points?

Top players play even tho their bonus pool is empty. That is why for instance when Naniwa started a new account (called Meatyowllegs) he got first in the world to 3k points.
Now HuK starts playing again on an acc he hadnt maxed out on the pool to begin with, and he reaches 4k.
It's how the bonus pool works. If pro players cared about the ladder, they wouldn't play at all when the bonus pool reached zero.

That is the worst explanation and so wrong on many levels, but you do have the main idea right just no concept of how it works obviously.

I just watched today's games;

1st I want to say that GSL is the best sc2 tournament EVER.

2nd I want to say LIQUID'HUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved his play in the first game, that really nice FFE & tech path, the dark shrine + templar archive timing was very good. Extreme DT play, that was sooo entertaining to watch Plus he looked like he kept his cool all game long, he reacted quite well to the early zergling as well as the burrow play.

Yes the Zerg player made some mistakes, eh when you're on 4 bases why would you want to stay on low tier tech? But all in all very nice series.

I guess the haters and the naysayers can shut the hell up now. Huk is definitely not overrated, he showed very solid play and insane decision making.

well, lets not overstate the games, but he did 2-0 the first round of code A which in an acomplishment few can claim, even if he was seeded.

Actually, I really hope that the seeds do well. It's rather important to keep people from crapp'n all over the seeding process, and really I don't see many people going to korea without seeds.

Good job huk

I'm pretty sure if huk says korean ladder is better, he means it. There's no reason for him to lie.

The only "big" name Koreans there were ogstheSTC and ogsHero, and they are both in the finals.

Wait so players only need to win their first round to stay in Code A? Wasn't it 2 rounds last time? I don't remember ><

HuK Fighting!!! Nice 2-0 by HuK,
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞
