I'm like 80% sure I am going to be making the trip out from Southern California.. I just can't pass this up! The only issue is the cost.. But I'm trying to avoid looking at that. Anyone else going from Southern California? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MLG COME TO CALIFORNIA!!

In the past, the events typically started in the evening. However, since the schedule has not yet been released, and it's a new season, I can not answer when the event will start/end.

I wont be traveling out there (from florida) unless i can play, so i was waiting to make sure i was registered etc before making final plans. do i need to buy these game battle and credit things? i really dont think so but maybe i do? since u say they sell out fast. thanks for any info It is stated clearly that the tourney registration begins March 1st. There will be 256 players (including the invited players), so when registration starts, try to get a player's pass or whatever its called. If you're lucky enough to get one, you can play in the tournament. They're also selling spectator passes.

Like so: At the moment, it's 5 x $14,000 + 1 x $120,000 = $190,000 total. Which is a fantastic total prize pool, but favours the final tournament too much over the other four, imo. I'd rather see a 5 x $26,000 + 1 x $60,000 = $190,000 total. Same amount, but a more evenly spread distribution, lending more meaning to the first four tournaments and still making the National Championships the single biggest tournament outside of Korea. Smaller tournaments: + Show Spoiler + * 1st Place: $10,000 * 2nd Place: $6,000 * 3rd Place: $4,000 * 4th Place: $2,000 * 5th Place: $1,500 * 6th Place: $1,000 * 7th Place: $900 * 8th Place: $600 National Championships: + Show Spoiler + * 1st Place: $25,000 * 2nd Place: $12,500 * 3rd Place: $7,500 * 4th Place: $5,250 * 5th Place: $3,750 * 6th Place: $2,625 * 7th Place: $1.875 * 8th Place: $1,500 That said, I'm very much looking forward to the biggest NA series making a return, and some amazing moments. Stick a fork in those buns!

Also, the player count (256) and tournament format (double elim) are more forgiving to the players (which I'm sure they appreciate considering it's a LAN and most will have to travel to attend). Really excited about MLG this year and wish they would hurry up and announce that they're coming to Orlando so I can start planning for it. Now that there's finally a good reason to attend an MLG event (no offense Halo/CoD fans), it'd be a shame if they didn't stop by.
