I do hope cella would apply and its only logical to accept cella into slayers. Cella has such a huge foreign fan base. It would just simply bump the clan's image.

On a semi-related note, the recent trend seems to be typing out your in game handle in korean.
As in 슬레이어스박서. I was watching Gisado the other day and saw that a lot of other people are doing the same. ^^;;

I wonder who started this fad

1800 is incredibly low given that the bonus pool total is currently over 1400. That means a rating sans-inflation of 400, or roughly 35 wins over losses. Definitely an easy feat. If I were him, I'd instead just sort SC2Ranks by win ratio and go down the list until I find a player that's a) over 55%, and b) has over 500 1v1 games played, and try them out in some practice matches.

Keep in mind that when Boxer scouted players for his Orion team, he took the absolute top of the top Gamei players. Asking for 1800+ players is like scouting the top ~30% or so of Diamond.

your dumb,

maybe trying taking your own advice.
sc2ranks lists

random player i found on sc2ranks : http://sc2ranks.com/kr/81867/GungSouL

GungSouL who is spot on 1800. Is ranked #1,394 regional

http://sc2ranks.com/stats/league/kr/1/all
16,977 players in diamond 1v1 korea

Dividing that out it = ~8.2%

Top 8% and Top ~30% of diamond is a huge fucking difference.

1800 diamond on the korean server, while still low, is definitely on a completely different level to a 1800 diamond on the NA server.

not many on TL play on the korean server and have little idea of how big the gap actually is... still think the vast majority NA 2000+ diamonds would be low diamond/plat in korea. all of the (regular, not jinro/huk/TLO/whatever) TLers playing on the korean servers are on average two leagues below where they are on NA.

just sayin, because there seem to be a lot of "that's low" comments here...

FYI, 1800 >> the korean GSL commentator (not 박준규, who posts here, but the other one, forgot his ID)

so where is this coming from?

I am all for with the "koreans are doing better in SC2 than NA specifically, that I completely agree. There are more top level players there in the general, one would expect so from the culture.

However I don't understand this High Diamond in NA = Low Diamond / Plat in Korea.

People who have been playing on Korean server,(one of not shure who said it) TLO, HuK, Jinro etc said in previous interviews that THERE IS NO FRIGGEN DIFFERENCE.

Sure the korean server may be the toughest but I'd imagine the gap to be at the point of ~500 points range. Even that I believe is stretching it.

Can we stop this korean fanboyism until we have people who ACTUALLY ladder there and have solid results?

Idra sitting at 2500 for NA serve rand 2300 for KR server.

This doesn't factor in the fact that IdrA did not play on the NA account for a LOOONG time and thus when he got back in he was paired againts people that are below his level who climbed above him in points.

I see, he's training his flying monkeys so he can rise to fame in GSL3. Impeccable. It's odd how people think he'd be looking for the next up and coming talent when he hasn't even established himself as a tournament winner yet in SC2. That just makes no sense. He wants to improve himself, he even says so...

On a more less serious and quite entirely unrelated note (saw this when browsing the current top in terms of points on the KR server), it seems the name change should be handled with care.
+ Show Spoiler +
Or did he intend to misspell it since he's not a Prime anymore?

So boxer would be like a captain or a coach for the team?

P.S
Feels like boxer's team would be parallel to "Team Jordan" lol

He is the Emperor. He is gathering his subjects. Long live the Emperor!

And 1800 is a requirement for joining. He didn't say he'd take every single person over 1800. But now he won't get every bronzie in Korea trying to join.

It would be cool if he got Cella and FoxeR Maybe some of the former WeRRas, who have not joined the new team.

Though I don't know how good a strategy it is to have multiple contenders in the same team. He said it himself, he thinks FoxeR is better at the moment. With the prize money that high at GSL, it might be hard to avoid internal rivalries.
Unless you are an aspiring pro, you really should be more worried about not having fun than not progressing.

Foxer used to be #1 in the KR ladder till Nestea and MVP overtook him around last two months or so.

There are 1500 players with a ranking 1800 or greater on the KO ladder... it's not too shabby.

I'm not sure the korean ladder as a whole has to be considered harder, because the ladder is made of normal people with jobs playing starcraft as a hobby, so they're dead even with the other regions. It is better at a very high level, but below that it should be aligned with all the others. I'd like to see some proof or at least some indication that us/eu diamond is like korean plat.

you just proved it yourself. you say idra climbed higher by beating those below his lvl but of equal points? ok let's say a month ago iidra was sitting at 2.3k NA and 2.1k KR (random numbers). what you are basically saying is that people at 2.3k NA points were BELOW idra's lvl, while KR 2.1k was EQUAL to idra's lvl.

or think about it this way
points are getting higher over time. since idra hasnt played NA in a while, his NA point should be LOWER than KR assuming NA and KR were at same lvl.
