You obviously werent around when saviOr ruled the world.
Obviously, you werent there when Iloveoov ruled the world either.
What about when Nada was the shit?
U know, u werent in Korea to see how it was for the past 10 years. Trust me SC had its competitions. Its way too premature to state something as big as you r saying now.
If you look at ppl moving over to sc2 right now, its all sc1 legends and trash. Cool was not famous because of the team? Flash is not exactly in the best team either. SC will remain strong till proleague stops.

Is he running from Flash?

NOOO!! STAYY PLEASE STAY WITH BW FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN!
BW SCENE NEEDS YOU TO LIVE! FLASH CANT DO IT BY HIMSELF... HE NEEDS A RIVAL!

Calm down folks, its not an immediate switch.
He's already said recently that he expects to be playing Broodwar for a few more years yet, I suspect he'll probably wait until after the release of both of the expansion packs and the game has all its major changes made before making the leap.
|
I'd estimate at least 2 to 3 years before he seriously considers switching unless BW just collapses instead of slowly dying.
|
Wow. Rakaka really delivers to the SC-community this event. Keep it up! <3

I don't get what all the excitement is about. He basically said when BW dies he will play SC2. Which shouldn't really surprise anyone. It's more of a question of when than if.
That being said.
Jaedong in SC2 = omg

This.
It's going to be a lot longer than people seem to be making it out to be. I would say a year at the absolute shortest, probably longer. BW has a while yet.

How do you see the future of StarCraft: BroodWar and will you change to StarCraft 2? - I will definitely change to StarCraft II as I feel that StarCraft 2 is having a higher status then StarCraft: Broodwar. We will see more international tournaments in SC2 compared to StarCraft: Broodwar and this will make the change natural for me. I want to build my reputation abroad and reach out to the international audience but when I decide to change game I can not say, it can be today, it can be tomorrow it can be in a couple of years. Thanks to the OP for getting everyone riled up by cutting off the last half of the last sentence. http://rakaka.se/?newsID=15213&ref=flow#ENG
Dont blame the op when you dont know what happend... that line was first added later.

Seems little vague when he is actually switching but I doubt it's anytime soon

Wow, I read "as I feel", but for whatever reason I interpreted it as "when I feel" even with the "proper" translation, lol.

There is no guarantee that will happen in the forseeable future if at all. Why are everyone thinking that? Reread the posts. It has been clarified that he did not say "when", but "as". Which indicate that he will definitely switch.

Welcome to the end of the beginning of the end

Jaedong to SC2 will be like Michael Phelps competing in the special olympics.
