Still it's a laptop unless its newish and cost like 2k you can't expect much more then running at resolutions and medium settings.

Yeah but it has a massive L2 cache. Intel older cpu design benefits in games from larger caches. The 620 has a 2mb l2 cache(512kb each core) which is unheard of from a cpu that has an onboard memory controller making it more dependent on the speed of your ram.

Hmm, depends on what you are trying to do I guess? At a similar voltage, my i7 is running circles about my i5, and that's with me keeping HT up. However, in both of these cases I only looked to overclock up to a certain speed, then push down the voltage as far as I could afterwards. Considering that at a certain point clock speed doesn't show all that much outside of synthetic benchmarks anyway...yeah. I do think the i5 is an excellent mainstream solution though.

And the Phenom and the i5 are "only 30-45%" better on average ( tests made on several softwares including games ). Also with the motherboard i might be able to uppgrade to a x6 or whatever is coming next for AMD. If it is not possible i can still get a cheap Phenom II x4 in one year =D edit: basicly the athlon x4 = Q8200 but cheaper and the motherboard will be compatible with the next AMD procs. That's perfect for my budget. On October 11 2009 10:00 Saddened Izzy wrote: K7! quick keep that cpu and sell it 20 years from now as a collectors item. Best proc ever And the first Geforce is the best GPU <3 I got those for almost ten years.

Wat. You don't actually expect to play it on that card? You definitely need to upgrade. A 4670 is pretty much the best AGP card you can get, but i recommend just getting an entirely new system. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161284

I'm not sure about the x1600s though. Dont know much about them. Checking some benchmarks, I see it being compared to the 6800 >_< It's benchmarks on Cod were pitiful and I'm not even sure it will scale well with CrossFire.
