I think you are quite confused as to what someone means when they say a rolling stop.

as i understood, only read it once and it is late so i may be wrong, the OP claims he DID NOT break the law, he was pulled over for a rolling stop FOUR intersections prior to his current location when he had only passed TWO intersections to get where he is.

the cop stopped him on point $ and handed him a ticket saying he committed the infraction on point ^ ( a rolling stop FOUR intersections ago) , but the op states that he started he car on point * and drove in the direction of his university ( U ).

so it isn't possible for him to have committed a rolling stop, on point ^ if he started on point *

this is all according to the OP and my understanding of it, please correct me if i am wrong selboN and if i am correct please confirm.
