It's an unwritten law present not only in football(soccer-.-) but in almost every other sport as well. As to Real Madrid: David Villa is about to join them as well. I wonder if Perez eventually gets a playmaker or they gonna play like Argentina do - a big gap between defensive midfielders and the attack. Both Kaka and Ronaldo are not suited for playmaking. They are AMs, OMs, mediapuntas or whatever you call them. Their job is to bring the ball close to the penalty area and either shoot on goal or provide the ball to the forward(s). You need to have some creative players to distribute the ball in the middle. Diarra and Gago fail here. It's one of the reasons why Argentina's national team sucks so much with the players they have. Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Maxi R., D. Milito. Great attack. G.Milito(he'll recover soon), Demichelis, Burdisso, Zanetti, Mascherano, Gago - not a bad defence either. But what about their midfield ? Veron - rather finishing football career, Jonas Gutierrez - hardly a creative force. Quick ball from DMs to forwards and let's see what they can do - you won't win anything playing like that. Even with such talented players like Messi or Aguero. The same might happen to Real Madrid. 6 players in the back, 4 at the front - that;s what it looks like after buying Kaka and Ronaldo.So, either they will sacrifice one from the Gago-Diarra pair for a much more creative yet capable of defending player, a 'Xabi Alonso', 'Cesc Fabregas' type, or they will play with only one true forward, being it Villa or Higuain and try some formations between 4-5-1 and 4-3-3 - 4-2-1-2-1 or 4-1-2-2-1 - whatever you call them. Otherwise, I don't see how it could work properly. Maybe you have some ideas. If so, please share them  | ||

Watch Man City break that record with whoever they go after. I never like ronaldo just cuz i hate Man U so much. Now i like him cuz he's at Real..Nice. This is good news cuz i think Fox sports is gonna be broadcasting La liga games next yr? Can't wait to see what this Real Madrid team will be able to do. I bet Wenger and Mourinho now wish they had given serious thoughts to taking over at Real...imagine coaching ronaldo, kaka and possibly villa. Pellegrini will fail. Doesn't he have issues with players with egos? players who think they are bigger than the club? Riquelme? I don't like Pellegrini but he's perfect to start things off, then when he fails 2 months into the season, they can put it a more "known" and accomplished coach. | ||
