Obama just confused the computer and the internet (although the computer was mostly an area of goverment as well)

evandi, I wish wholeheartedly that you suffer immensely. I hope you somehow get dissabled, burned, or horrificly disfigured. I would hope that some evils befall you that effects you emotionally, but it appears you have no soul or conscience to speak of.

Making a vague comparison with an incredibly weak symantic relationship in order to get attention and troll in a thread shows your lack of maturity. Do you really need attention that bad?

Edit* Please do the world a favor and kill yourself you pathetic waste of life.

This wasn't my original argument. I just threw this out there when someone jokingly compared Obama to Stalin.

Is this supposed to be a defense of your baseless juvenile rants?

I don't have any baseless juvenile rants.

Your a shit faced liar

Just based on these quotes it seems like you, arod, are the one with the juvenile rant tendencies.

I'd say that's fair, as long as you admit, you're only basing your judgement on these 3 select qoutes attacking an obvious troll who will most likely be banned and not my entire posting history.

Banned for what? Opposing Obama?

If you think its ridiculous just don't respond. I'm not replying to myself.

Wow, you're making me type it out. You trolled for four pages calling Obama's proposal of community service in exchange for college tuition "slavery."

Let me qoute you a few times.

evandi says
"Who here appreciates Obama's stance on slavery? He is pro slavery and wants a new generation to understand the value of involuntary servitude by making all schoolchildren in middle-school and high-school have to do "voluntary" work for the government. Thats also known as slavery."

"Umm, I thought the words "requirement: volunteer work" was contradictory."

"My time belongs to me. If I want to volunteer that would have to be voluntary. To twist volunteerism into something that is involuntary servitude is sickening."

"He (referring to Obama) also called for some sort of national security force as large as the army. Sounds like a police state. Of course he must mean well. If you say so."

I could keep going. You're rants, lies, distortions aren't welcome here.

Well, they aren't lies. You haven't pointed out once that they were lies. They are technically correct and I did that to make you see that it is not such a minor thing.

Its on his own website.

You haven't managed to prove me wrong on any of this.

Thanking you for making my point you fucking retard

McCain keeps talking about pork, but he just voted for a bail out bill that used that very pork to convince a few congressman in voting for it.

Obviously this is a very personal problem for you. Why don't you get some help. You might go through Obama withdrawals. If what I said was ridiculous you should have been able to point out why when you had the chance.

I'm not sure about this, but I think that the threat of the US drilling is enough to affect the decisions of OPEC now. They don't want the US to drill. So they would have an incentive to lower the price they charge to discourage it.

So that is how it could affect gas prices now. (and maybe it already is--my local gas station lists $3.05 as of today)

i really wish these debates were run in an actual debate style where the two candidates sat across from each other and talked over their differences, interrupted each other a little bit (with a moderator to control it). i think that'd be way more interesting (and chaotic and thus fun) to wtach

@ Savio- really? They haven't even attempted to answer like half the questions. All I've heard is empty platitudes.

IMO, both candidates have looked spectacularly lackluster here. People are worried about losing their jiobs, and there have been random segments about taxes and whatnot which I think the American people are sick of. They've heard enough promises of cutting taxes. It's clearly empty. Both candidates seem far more interested in spouting talking points than saying anything remotely substantive.

I actually think that the current dynamic (by which I mean "aura of suck permeating this debate") might actually hurt Obama more than McCain. Obama is supposed to be the one who is strong on the economy. In some ways, I think expectations for him are higher than for McCain.

The American people are looking for someone who will, to use a cliche'd phrase, give them some "straight talk" on what they will do to help wit this crisis. Neither candidate has done that.

If the American people start thinking that neither candidate knows what they're doing on the economy, then Obama's control on his key (the key) issue of the campaign fades. That can only be bad news for Obama.

I agree, there is not alot that is actually being debated here.
