They are technically correct and I did that to make you see that it is not such a minor thing. Its on his own website. You haven't managed to prove me wrong on any of this. Thanking you for making my point you fucking retard

You might go through Obama withdrawals. If what I said was ridiculous you should have been able to point out why when you had the chance.

I'm not sure about this, but I think that the threat of the US drilling is enough to affect the decisions of OPEC now. They don't want the US to drill. So they would have an incentive to lower the price they charge to discourage it. So that is how it could affect gas prices now. (and maybe it already is--my local gas station lists $3.05 as of today)

IMO, both candidates have looked spectacularly lackluster here. People are worried about losing their jiobs, and there have been random segments about taxes and whatnot which I think the American people are sick of. They've heard enough promises of cutting taxes. It's clearly empty. Both candidates seem far more interested in spouting talking points than saying anything remotely substantive. I actually think that the current dynamic (by which I mean "aura of suck permeating this debate") might actually hurt Obama more than McCain. Obama is supposed to be the one who is strong on the economy. In some ways, I think expectations for him are higher than for McCain. The American people are looking for someone who will, to use a cliche'd phrase, give them some "straight talk" on what they will do to help wit this crisis. Neither candidate has done that. If the American people start thinking that neither candidate knows what they're doing on the economy, then Obama's control on his key (the key) issue of the campaign fades. That can only be bad news for Obama.
