i don't want to get cocky, but i did find that quote funny. as far as the democrat race goes, i think clinton can still easily win. but it is a funny quote.

I was kinda sorta supporting Obama until Super Tuesday, when I saw him speaking on TV for the first time. Holy cow, he blew me away. He's an amazing speaker. And just when I thought his message of change without detail was becoming old, in the past week he's started mixing policy into his regular unlifting speeches. Today I heard him speaking about the 4,000 dollar tuition grant given in return for public service. I think it's a great idea but more than that, it just goes to show how smart he is about campaigning.

He seems to be running his campaign really well. Clinton, on the other hand, has run a very bad campaign and it makes me wonder how effective she'd really be in running the country. If he puts forward clear, sensible policies during Thursday's debate I think it will be game over.

You will not believe how similar your latest response is to an article by Joe Klein stating almost the exact same thing, Storyteller. Clinton's campaign has been decisively out thought and out fought by Obama's -> something the results are showing.

Don't count the Clinton's out, apparently they are already trying to grab the Florida and Michigan delegates where Edwards, and Obama weren't on the ticket or something. Hell they might even stage how Bill Clinton gets caught cheating again, I wouldn't put it past them.

The debate was good last night. I thought Obama owned. Did any of the "Obama has no substance" people listen to it? :p I have this theory that they think he has no substance because they listen to 5 sec clips on the media where he is lauded as a good speaker, which somehow means that he's an empty suit.

He really seems serious about trying to take the high ground and stay out of dirty politics. He avoided it so much he wasn't even bothering to reply to the plagiarism thing beyond his initial point, after Hillary tried to jab him with it again. Similarly there were a lot of things that others would take advantage of in his position but he did not, like he didn't want to get into a debate about records and insult Hillary's. It's a interesting tactic.

Obama seems to be climbing in Texas, and Fox says it's a tie in that state. Ohio seems to have him closer, but still not enough arrghh!

I watched most of the debate live. I thought Obama did decently. He should also be able to blunt most of the impact of Clinton's closing words with the plagiarism/hypocrite implication (she copied John Edwards and Bill Clinton).

However (and maybe this is just me being an asshole), I felt that Obama was 手下留情 in Chinese... There's no real English equivalent. The closest I can get is that he didn't land the fatal blow when he could have? I thought he was going to tear her apart but he didn't quite. He always seemed to stop short.

For example, her plan to freeze interest rates for 5 years. He could have killed her on that point, with the economists to back him up, and then finished her by saying, "for someone who claims to have a lot of experience, you don't seem to grasp simple economics." A couple of other points like that arose in the debate as well. The point on healthcare, for example.

He did a very good job of defending himself, but not a very good job of attacking. Which is bad, because everytime Clinton tries to attack him, she looks like a partisan idiot and everytime he tries to attack her, he just looks like he's defending himself! He should have seized the opportunity!

I'm quite sure if Obama wins either Texas or Ohio he'll win the nomination. I don't think he needs to win both. If he spends another 5 days or so continuing his campaigning in Texas and then about 3 days in Ohio, I think he'll be able to win Texas and narrow the gap sufficiently in Ohio for Clinton to concede.
