It was the same for the eu qualifier. Brain intends to keep the competition tight on the top level, thats the reasoning why no fresh players fill the slots. | ||

Double elimination operates on the same basic Log₂(N) logic as single elimination, but with a bunch of complications which turns it into something more like 2*Log₂(N) According to what i see in challonge, there were 21 players, which rounds up to 32. This gives us 10 rounds (With 10'th round being the unnecessary grand finals) If there were 64 players, it'd be 12 rounds (With 12'th again being unnecessary in our case) + Show Spoiler + Of course there is also the problem that each round is played as long as the longest match in it, so with more matches there is a higher chance of some TvT stalling the entire bracket, but thats beyond the scope of this simle calculation | ||

And your not taking into account that with more players, there is more chance of high waiting time because a player is afk 10 minutes before the start of the series for example. In other words, all matches of a given round are not played out as simultaneously as one could assume. However, i will gladly declare Rus_Brain was wrong in his statement.. for a small donation of 10$ to the prizepool ofc.  | ||
