Disconnects during later parts of the game lead to a repeat if both players agree upon it. If this agreement cannot be reached, an admin will decide about a repeat or default win.
I don't see the part in there that says "disconnect = automatic loss."
Game 1 on tau cross was won by the protoss.
Game 2 on longinus was definitely in the p's favor. Idra had a cute post about all the things that were going his way in the game, but let's not forget that the protoss had 10+ gates, a FAR better economy, arbiter tech done, access to 6 gas, and a decently large army to go along with it.
Going by the ESL rules, what kind of admin would award idra 2 default wins under those circumstances?

I dont think the first game was a disconnect, but if an admin HAD to make a decision because the players refused toregame You have to give that to the Protoss (like I Said before, id be pissed if I was idra if that happened because I wouldve liked to play the game out from there even though I was behind, if protoss made some monumental mistake idra could have "potentially" gotten back in the game)

idra is a good poster on this site and a fun player to watch. regardless of his bm and the controversies surrounding him, all the kids flocking for drama and a 'foreigners suck #3' thread to further flame idra are ridiculous - how many would jump on the chance to slide into a win if an admin of a tournament with so much at stake approves of it?
it's too easy to single someone high-profile out for their faults like this. at this level of play, the frustration of course will make people do things that others can criticize from a distance. have you all conveniently forgotten that newface was the one that disconnected? sure, idra can be a dick and take the win, but it's not as if he's completely unjustified in doing so. his actions don't warrant personal 'clearasil LOL' attacks and flames against his team. two people have already apologized for bringing an undeserving person into this as a result of their bandwagoning, so be careful of participating in mob justice.

ESL had rules allowing what happened (and no rules in place to stop what happened to CocoA). IdrA went with the flow and did what the admin said, like any of you would have. Telling me otherwise won't make myself, god or anyone else give a shit.

like intrigue said, you can't blame someone for taking advantage of this. it's a chance to go to china for 2 weeks and play some great people. he didn't do anything really bad, maybe a bit questionable morally but it's not like he hacked or had someone messaging him info.
this should be confined to players that are participating and rek i don't think you should be bashing people on this. it's obvious you are mad because he did this to your friend but i don't think you would've done this thread for anyone else (short of being your friend) if the same situation happened.
