Coming up with a feat is going to be extremely difficult. I'm sorely tempted to gain proficiency in heavy armor and tank for realz

Most of the ones I'd like to pick (stuff like Linguist and Keen mind) don't benefit me a whole lot because max int, and we (to my knowledge) aren't using passive perception/investigation, so I don't want to pick up Observant or Dungeon Delver. Possible for homebrewing new feats or no? Otherwise I have to pick a boring one like Alert or Tough or Resilient (:<).

I seem to remember the interesting warlock ones were outside of what I'd be likely to do but I'll have another look.

Knowledge Domain is the best one though, and cantrips + cleric's better armor proficiency is pretty good.

If I could replace the identify that I have with another lvl 1 spell (even if utterly useless), sure, but losing the spell is triggering.

Rejoice. At least you're doing it at level 8 instead of level 1. You sound slightly bitter. Can't help my crazy good initial rolls though. Yango was talking me through a couple things and we were talking about 'Lucky.' While I admit that would be a very Amak'thos feat to take, I'm not a huge fan of the broken-ness and one of us having it is quite enough especially since Gramble has gone the U mage route and just manipulates the shit out of everything. Also I think my rolls are lucky enough when I need them to be. I think it's actually slightly cooler that way if you add an amount of 'in-character,' or story-driven elements to it, like 'some mysterious (read: eldritch) force that keeps me alive/around when it's important/manipulates my fate. Instead I'm pretty sure I'm going Resilient to raise my HP even more :D

Probably going to take Polearm Master though, assuming I never stop using Gorthos (because it's boss). Is there a way to turn my shield into a buckler? Or get one? The book doesn't have rules for shields that don't require a hand to use (which sucks for polearm fighting) but it would be nice to have something like that.

Instead I'm pretty sure I'm going Resilient to raise my HP even more :D Because of this campaign, I'm fairly certain that 5e is not based around random stat rolls. Having such powerful early bonuses really throws CR out of wack, or at least it did when I was building our early encounters. That was frustrating at the time, but now I'm just creating fun stuff regardless. Plus I think you've caught up level-wise as far as primary stats go. If anything I think your corresponding LOW stats will start becoming more problematic, but we'll see. Basically, when I run campaigns now, I use point buy. Thanks for that guys. ![]()

Rejoice. At least you're doing it at level 8 instead of level 1. Well, my secondary stat (DEX - primary stat for fighting I suppose) is also 18 soooooooo... yeah Defensive Duelist is tempting, although I'm leaning more and more towards using my Fey Whip as my primary weapon rather than my rapier. It's only a d4+1, but it's got reach, and it's a bit more in flavor with Roger's character development.
