SEA Masters Cup #40

This Masters Cup is a double elimination style tournament for Starcraft 2, Heart of the Swarm. $120 prize on offer to the winner, $75 2nd prize, $45 3rd, $20 4th and 5/6th $15 each. $300 prize pool*! There is also 820 Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series points up for grabs! (Points count towards qualifying for the $2000+ end of season tournament). In addition, the highest ranked Australian player will win a $50 gift voucher, thanks to headspace Australia! This event is sponsored by Eddie, Blizzard ANZ and sc2sea.com
For this Masters Cup we are proud to promote National Youth Week (NYW) and the the Australian National Youth Mental Health organisation - headspace. NYW is the largest celebration of young people in Australia.

- Upper Bracket bo3
- Lower bracket bo1 until 7/8th placing, where becomes bo3 (2nd last round before semi finals)

2nd $75 + 160 OSC points
3rd $45 + 100 OSC points
4th $20 + 50 OSC points
5/6th $15 + 30 OSC points each
7/8th 20 OSC points each

17-24th 5 OSC points each
25-32nd 2.5 OSC points each
*Prizes are in AUD
Plus $10 to a random player just for playing!
Plus the highest placed Australian player wins a $50 PC Case Gear voucher!
Bonus OCS points can be earned if:
Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 16: 5 OSC points
Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 17-32 ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
Anyone ranked 16th - 9th beats anyone ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
1st - 8th have no chance to earn bonus points
2013 Rankings will be used until 1 February

Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series
Masters Cup is a partnered tournament of the Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC). OSC is the SEA regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments. The top 32 players ranked via SEA Power Rankings / OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion!
PiG was 2013's Champion, taking out the $2100 finals series.

For Best of 3 Series, both players take turns to veto 2 maps from the map pool, so there is 3 left, then they each select the map they most want if they lose, and start with the remaining map.
For Best of 1 Series, both players take turns veto maps from the map pool, and play the remaining one
