If you just started you should be able to do some stuff already right? This might be a good opportunity for practical experience! I'd try it if I were you.

Where's that E-sport money? it's this kind of attitude that "killing" e-sport. You TL don't want shitty looking graphic or video so you'll pick ofc ppl with experience. Why this people shouldn't be paid?? they gonna WORK for you. Because of this for now, e-sport is "you make a company and try to convince ppl to work for you for free". -sad coyote. :/

And it shadows legit designers who need to get paid for their countless hours they spend providing quality content.

Getting Teamliquid to hire/import staff would feel like your parents hiring an interior designer to decorate your house. Part of TL's appeal, to me at least, is the family feel and community involvement.

There's literally 2 ads displayed on TL at any given time... and t-shirt sales don't bring in that much. The server to handle this many people posting on forums isn't cheap, flying an interviewer and camera person to events to get some of the best content in esports isn't cheap. They can probably barely afford to pay the very few staff they have... And that's only a more recent thing. TL was built by the community, for the community. It was not a for profit business owned by some media company.

yeah i'm sure too servers and hosting and globaly run something like teamliquid have ofc a significant price. But why people spending also huge amount of time making graphic and videos don't deserve at least small "payback"? it's the same everywhere in e-sport. "we don't have money blablabla" Every weeks i do lot of stuff for the community, but when i work for a company or a team, it's no more for community, it's about to promote the customer. My statement is: teams and structures abuse too much of the "fame" and make graphic ppl work for free. Over that, i really think TL can afford professionnals. (if TL can't who can?)

no one is asking you to contribute if you don't want to its hard to believe but people actually contribute because they want to, not because their only goal is to make money here. This theme pops up every single time theres a recruitment thread, and it never leads anywhere, some people read this with the intention to become a contributor because they want to so can we stop shitting it up please
