Random players are using random to their advantage

LNMK United Kingdom56 Posts September 11 2013 18:23 GMT #1 I've been in some bad games before, but in every circumstance, I call out "gg" when I lose. Unless I'm against a random player who either hides or LIES about what race they are playing. At the beginning of all vs Random matches, I ask waht race they are. Usually they hand over the information no fuss at all, in fact, some of them are quite nice about it and offer the information before you even ask. However, there are times when I ask for their race and they reply with "scout me come and find out lol". Now this is just outright cheating. Being able to hide information that is REQUIRED to play the game at any level past bronze is straight up cheating and gives them a MASSIVE advantage before the game has even begun. I've also had the displeasure of playing against a random player who LIES about their race. That's right, someone went as far as to LIE about their race. This is both cheating and disgustingly rude. There's not having a fair game, and then there's having a game that is literally impossible to win. I get why the random button is there, and it's a great idea, but why not just randomise the race, why does Starcraft have to hide it? When it gets to the loading screen, it should reveal it there, as if they have chosen to play that race from the get-go. What are your thoughts TL? How else could this be remedied?

lolfail9001 Russian Federation40190 Posts September 11 2013 18:24 GMT #2 Scout and play relatively safe (if you are afraid of cheesers). This is not cheating, random players pay for it with need to learn 9 match ups instead of 3 (if they do not cheese all the time ofc).

On a serious note this topic has been brought numerous time, yes it's annoying and kind of unfair, some will tell you that as you have to master 3 races it isn't, in the end you shouldn't really care as random players in 1V1 are not that common anyway.
