They are butterfree that have trained so long that they are not limited in the height of their stats. They fly freely and go around any which way they wish, searching for more than just another Caterpie to tackle. Just talking about this has caused me to evolve into a High Templar. You dare defy me now? Edit: Fixed.

No that's actually just an icon to make you look more fearsome and powerful than you really are. In other words, it is a hallucination created by Mewtwo. All you really do to users is String Shot and Tackle them.

But outside of that people are really, really, REALLY annoying. Speaking of speedrunning, twitch emotes will be actionable in the speedrunning thread and marathon threads too, right? If so, a mod note linking to this thread/explaining the new policy may help prevent misunderstandings, as emotes are used fairly often to hype runs there.

![]() How did this become associated with Jaedong? I'm not an old-timer, but I feel this has a charm to it that is missing in the Twitch ones for sure

I find it amusing that people have been using these Twitch emotes here, as I assume (since I've not really seen any) that they don't work... Mainly because they are TWITCH emotes and this is TEAM LIQUID? How daft do people have to be to actually think they would work here?

I admit ive used Kappa here once or twice to signal sarcasm. Because on the internet you cant see my face to see if im serious or not. There is some kind of indication needed, because some people will read stuff in a serious voice otherwise, which leads to silly arguments. So i guess you have to use one of the tl smilies or spell it out with [irony] or [sarcasm] tags. Im not one of the guys who condemns twitch chat. It can be fun. It is kind of the equivalent to fan chants in a football stadium. Of course they would be silly and have no place in serious discussions but its a kind of a "team spirit" (in lack of a more fitting word) to spam a twitch chat with some emoticons. Its fun to see it being out of control with the silliest stuff. Like memes i dont think they are bad per se, you just need to know the place for it. and its totally acceptable that tl isnt that place. But dreamhack for example is also that entertaining because their interaction with twitch chat. To illustrate the dreamhack admin and twitch viewer relationship i want to link this video --> + Show Spoiler +

I would even like it if twitch would enforce some policy against an overuse of the sensless meme and "emote" spam in their chats.
