Because I am not allowed to say it anywhere else, here my opinion on IPL:
- Fuck this imbalanced game.
- ZvP and ZvT are completely unwatchable. Either the T/P all-in works or Zerg wins. It feels shitty to see suprior players have to resort to janky all-ins or hyper risky drop play because no one can beat Zerg later on. Can't imagine how much more shittier it feels to BE one of those players.
- Riot games would have nerfed Infestors and buffed Hydras 9 months ago and everyone would have been happy. This is why LOL has multiple times more viewers than SC2.
- DB and DK are idiots.
- Infestors are a piece of shit unit.

I still suck at SC2 lol. Watch more than I play. I mostly play BW. Dont have any race preferences but would like to watch a balanced game

Just give up on watching SC2, it probably won't ever be half as good as BW is.
Or whenever you watch a SC2 game just don't expect anything from it, anything at all, so you don't get disappointed. Watch the game with condescending eyes and convince yourself of "well, it could be worse".

I must say that I do not really like watching zerg whatsoever at the moment though.
IMO:
Fungal growth = poorly designed spell
Broodlord = boring unit
Corruptor = boring unit
Guess what practically the only units I've seen zerg build late game are?

Well honestly, as has happened to me - eventually you just stop caring...
It hurts too much to care about and want this game to be better when everyone else doesn't care or stands against you...or just doesn't give a fucking shit.
I'm tired of seeing the same ten or fifteen posters defending this game. I'm tired of reading posts from people who don't have the slightest idea or don't even play the game...I just can't accept that anyone who is passionate for this genre can just accept this game as it is and not want it to be better than the game that came before it...I'm too tired to care and so I stopped defending my position in the threads that pop up - because it's like two people throwing shit at each other over and over and over...I just got sick of reiterating my opinion.
At this point I just want to see this game fucking burn.

I like point of this blog. The winrate percentages don't mean anything if the gameplay is sucky/boring. This new blizzard sc2 team never understood that. I won't be buying HoTS and probably not anymore blizzard games after that. What happened blizzard :[

I'm just going to jump in and try to explain WHY we don't want a ton of balance whine in LR threads.
If we did then the LR threads would be a mess of posters complaining about everything instead of the focus being on the actual games being played. This is the rules we have chosen. There are plenty of threads where balance talk are both allowed and encouraged.
edit: Don't think that other people are not annoyed by the situation. I could rant a lot about how annoying it is that one unit renders all sky options useless, about how it would be really nice to have something to counter t3 z units as t (ghosts used to be good), at how both vortex and seeker are actually spells you can do something about when they are used against you as opposed to annoyingly boring fungal..but it won't really do any good if I do it in a random thread.

With you mentioning "sky options", I think we saw the same game, Squirtle vs Xigua.
Squirtle had no options vs. Xigua. In BW (or in SC2 TvT and TvP) you can always go into a safe build into a macro game if you feel like you are the superior player (or win the micro battle in BW PvP or ZvZ). Currently in SC2 T and P have no choice but to go for risky gimmicky strategies, even against lesser players. Like in WCS where the Korean PvZ experts barely defeated the foreigner Zergs with tons of Immortal Sentry Allins and gave us another two weeks without the desperately needed patch.
So I was sitting there after Xigua vs. Squirtle wondering what I could possibly say about that game in the LR thread.
"Well played by Xigua"? "Good strategy choice by Xigua"? "Bad strategy choice by Squirtle"? "Squirtle should have gone for XYZ instead"? "Bad play by Squirtle at that one engagement"?
None of that happened in their game. Maybe Squirtle should have gone for another Immortal Sentry Allin, I don't know. What happened for me was "Zerg imba" and posting it would have gotten me a temp ban. Your policy on balance posts in LR threads only makes sense as long as the game is actually balanced.

It isn't mandatory to make a post at all. People tend to post much more frequently when it's negative/balance whine. The mods want the topic to stay clean, have no flaming, and to be ON topic at the same time.
Although balance whine might be on topic, it can often cause flaming.
If you feel that way, watch less SC2 until a patch you're satisfied with, or just don't post in LR.

I actually did not watch that game. But of course I understand your frustration, I get frustrated myself sometimes.
You are always welcome to challenge a policy or rule on this site, we have a feedback forum for just that, and we will always take your suggestion into consideration.

Balance aside I just want to see exciting games. The predominance of boring, slow moving, easy-to-use spellcasters does nothing for the spectators. At least a spell like dark swarm, in BW, was exciting because it required micro and multitask from both sides, fungal is just boring as shit, as are free units (IT, Broodlings and now nibbling Locusts instead of Lurker spines). I'm fine with innovation and trying new things but Blizz is just crippling the game with poor design. It doesn't have to be BW but at least come up with stuff that's not tedious to watch.

just wanted to point out, omg it was annoying to use the defilers consume one at a time, like u eat a zergling have to wait for the little yellow swirling circle to appear before u could eat another, and u also had to do this one defiler at a time, and than finding ur defilers in battle and selecting it out of a control to dark swarm, instead of just hitting w having like 5 swarms in one place hahahaha lol very challenging something i personally never mastered but i loved seeing progamer defiler control

Even if the game is statistically balanced (which it technically is), it's indisputably boring as fuck. The actual strategic depth available to players vZ has been reduced to a point where I almost don't even need to watch the games to have an idea of what they looked like, and that's no good.
