Isn't NYPD kind of its own branch of government though? There are some seriously illuminati stories.

As I understand it, NYPD has a significant number of retired policemen, to the point of them being a practical voting block. Add that to the US's obvious love of law and order... maybe not their own branch of government, but the NYPD government has too much reverence for the NYPD to try and affect it?
What's the overall rep of the NYPD? Obviously in Europe I see a lot of the horror stories, but I always figured most of your police have to be pretty good, with some being better or worse than others.

And they say Trump is uniquely dangerous to the constitutional process. He's practically a bit player in this drama if you ask me.

What? How is that? many far right groups have been using ((( ))) to denote jewishness on various online platforms for some time. that coupled with the does no equal sign in the center could therefore be read as jews are not equal

So I’ve been thinking: what were the big world events of 2017 that didn’t directly involve Trump? The ones that come to mind are successful ICBM tests from NK and Germany having a bad time forming a new ruling coalition. Beyond that, though, the year seems to have mostly been remarkably uneventful by most standards. No events that really stick out as all that definitive or impactful.

Also picked up by NRO. (Josh Blackman wrote a separate piece).

Terror attacks as a group: London terror attacks/Manchester Arena/Barcelona/Manhattan bike path. Grabbed world headlines. Venezuelans against Maduro is 2017 Catalan independence saga
and that's all I got off the top of my head

Has Trump taught you to assume antisemitism/alt-right radicalism in quoted tweets from someone right-of-center?

The most literal definition of it would be a Jewish not equal to sign. But yeah, it's not an accident, presumably Danglars didn't realize that it was an antisemitic hate name. Those symbols did not accidentally converge, it was done intentionally as I suspect any reading of the rest of the tweets from that individual would most likely confirm.
Alt-right have been using triple parentheses to identify Jewish "globalists" on twitter for a while now. It's a hard J jew label. Only the "Hitler did nothing wrong" crowd use it.

While at a glance it looks very much questionable as an username, he's had ≠ (not equal) as an username before this one , and there's no anti-semitic content or sentiment uttered by him in his twitter feed or his blog. Any that I can find at the very least. If anything it's the opposite.
I don't see a problem here, although I did just spend like 30 minutes of my life researching someones online presence.

Married Catholic lawyer and father of eight or nine. I like his legal, politics, and culture tweets. And, if it wasn’t obvious from conservative Jews citing his work, he’s a friend to the Jewish community.

that guy has been around normal righty twitter for a long time. not alt right. I don't know what it means in this case but some people do it ironically. there is no way that guy literally means that. especially if his handle is his real name.
