License to shitpost is also just a really bad thing to bet over because unlike other bets which only affect the parties involved in the bet, you're negatively affecting the site experience for people who aren't participating in the bet.
If the winning side gets the right to shitpost in the thread, it just means this thread is fucked, regardless of who wins (kind of like America).

Yeah, that sounds like a really sucky bet. The nice thing with the ban bets is regardless who wins, people that are rather sick of each other posting get a little bit of respite from each other (both the banned and the winner). Permission to meme wrecks the thread for all those that have not grown quite so sick of different posters that they would take on a bet.

Well it is odd to say the least, as the emails itself are the evidence. What additional evidence could he possibly have gotten regarding those emails that made him write the letter? I asume he could not read them because he did not have a warrant and the investigation was closed.
