Checking out http://www.sc2ranks.com/stats/league/eu/1/all gives updated stats about race distribution from this season, and it says that the stats are taken from 206,544 EU teams this season.. So if iam a Master guy, ranked 811 in EU, that makes me better then 99,996%? With those stats,100 000 random sc2 players from bronze to masters, I would be better then 999 994 of them o.O.. Seems like alot :x | ||

Seems like alot :x there are 85 pages in sc2 ranks of masters players, 100 players per page, 100x85=8500 masters players. same can be done with other leagues. diamond=15000 players, platinum=25800 players, gold=34500 players, silver=45500 players, bronze=76600 players now just add up the numbers and add 200 players who are GM and you have rougly the amount of people playing on the EU server (189400). now its also easy to find out what percentage is in masters.. (8500/189400)x100=4,48% there you go, 4.48% of all players are masters on the EU server. | ||

Seems like alot :x Being above someone in the ladder doesn't make you better than them, but if there's 206k players on the ladder and you're 811th, you're in the 0.4th percentile (of the ladder). 811/206544 = 0.003926 = 0.3926% (not 0.003926%) - so that's 99.6% not 99.996%. EVEN if you take all 1 000 000 into account then as rank 811 you would be better than 999289 of them. Infact what i think is true that at rank 811 your better than 205733, which makes you better than 99,6%. But i wouldnt totally trust those numbers by sc2ranks. Just look at that graph saying 59.66% of GMs are randoms and then right below it says there is not a single one. | ||
