Note: My korean isn't 100% but I am able to translate and give you guys a rough translation since I know people like to read them. Since it takes a long time for me to translate them, i will only do some until storywriter comes back. Enjoy, let me know what you think
LG_IMNestea
You finally got through Code S round of 32
Honestly I have been losing most of my practice matches so I was worried. I am feeling relieved now. I have been very sad lately because we were not able to show off LGIM in the team league. I will try my best to win this season for our sponsor, LG.
How did you feel you played today?
I went into the sets with a plan, but improvised throughout because I was not confident today. My rush failed against Creator and I counted myself out already. However, when I held Creator's fake all in, I smiled to myself.
You almost lost to DTs today. How did you comeback in that game?
Banelings are good and I believe Creator made mistakes. It was his game to lose. I took my hands off the keyboard for awhile then decided to play it on. I could not concentrate until suddenly I felt like I could. Must have been the image of IMMVP taunting me.
You have finally advanced to round of 16. How far you think you can go?
MVP recently won the GSL and has had all the fame in the IM house. Even though people dont think it happens, he teases me with his victory. I will try to first get to round of 8 and then win.
You did not play Naniwa today. Will you pick him in Round of 16?
I was planning to face Naniwa in losers match. But I played better than I thought and won 1st set. I will have to see who joins me in round of 16 before I choose. As of now, I have no reason to pick Naniwa. While some people in Korea think Naniwa should be picked, I do not believe Naniwa is a weak player.
Park Soo (DRG??) recently won MLG while Symbol is doing very well in GSTL. Any comments?
*laughs* It is nice to see Zerg finally win.
Any comments to add?
I want to personally tell all my fans that I have invigorated strength to do well this season. I want to thank IMHappy, IMBBi, IMRoRoak? (idk who this is) and IMReady for practice. Also, I feel bad to knocking out TheSTC as I am friends with him and he just got on a team. I hope he does well and returns to Code S soon. I earned the award today and I am happy for it. Also, thank you to our sponsor, LG.

I would greatly appreciate a Naniwa interview translation

Nice job ! Thank for doing them and allowing storywriter to take a bit of a break.

Thanks for translating while storywriter is sick, it is greatly appreciated .

damn. was looking for naniwa`s interview. but thanks for the nestea one. its nice to see him advancing.

"*laughs* It is nice to see Zerg finally win. " I agree very much Nestea !
|
Solid interview. Nice of him to admit that NaNiwa is a strong player.
|
This is totally different from what I read @Thisisgame.com. Not a poor translation, but different content. (e.g. there was no discussion of DTs or DRG in the interview I read, but he talked about his team's poor performance in GSTL and about the "Nestea Award" he received) Where did you get this interview?
This is the interview I read -> http://www.thisisgame.com/board/view.php?category=13439&id=1218598
|
Also there is no mention of Naniwa in the interview I linked.
|
Thanks SpecFire. ^^
LOL. Mvp taunting Nestea. Hopefully that motivates him to win this whole damn season.
|
No Naniwa interview? He sure dodged a bullet there
|
Naniwa's interview is up! Not much in it but that's pretty much who Naniwa is. sry for the delay

Don't think a lot of people think of him as a weak player, just an ass.

Thank you for taking up the task.

Above average NaNi interview. Very excited to see who he picks to play.

Interesting how Naniwa says there are still Code S players who don't deserve it tho >_>

everyone finds chances to jump on naniwa, its really sad.
nestea apologizing to thestc was unexpected.

Not like Nestea hasn't said the EXACT SAME THING, proceeded to pick those players in groups, and then knock said players out of code S following said picking

Yeah, but back then there were the Kyrix's of Code S. Hard to fun a player nowadays

GOgo Naniwa!! Time for a Finals appearance
|
Naniwa is going to shut down the haters. First foreign GSL champion, I can feel he means it.

The guy you quoted, SpecFire, points out how interesting it is that Naniwa would say that some Code S players don't deserve to be in. They are both stating beliefs, Naniwa his own, SpecFire reiterating the opinion/belief of Naniwa. So isn't that the same thing? Also, titling your PM "troll more"? really?
|
Naniwa not reading comments on the internet? Yeah right...

NANIWA FIGHTINGGG YAAAAAAH

Honestly, I think it's important to note that there's a difference between saying someone is not worthy of Code S and someone does not deserve Code S.
Deserving Code S simply means that a player completed all the requirements necessary to obtain a Code S spot. Maybe he earned it through a foreign tournament seed. Maybe he qualified from Code A quals, tore his way through Code A, and went directly into Code S. Maybe he managed to get into Code A, didn't quite reach Code S directly, but got in through Up/Downs. I think these are all ways a player deserves Code S.
Now what does it mean to be worthy of Code S? Well, Code S is supposed to represent 32 of the world's best players. It can be the case that a player that deserves Code S (i.e., got into Code S through one of the aforementioned methods) is not within the world's top 32 players (an easy bracket, or a foreign tournament seed, or something).
As the interview was translated, Naniwa said he believes there are some players that are not worthy of Code S. This means that he believes that some of the players there are not in the top 32 of the world.
Can someone please remind me why everyone is getting so upset?

I wonder who naniwa considers "not code S worthy" cant wait to see his pick :D
|
Thanks for the write up. I used to be a big Naniwa hater, now that he's in Code S I cheer for him (despite not fan)
|
Sorry for the hotlink, it was my first thread where I used pictures. Didn't know.
|
This interview is not my words. I didnt say a single thing that's written . Remove it for fuck sake
|
Will never do any interview with gomtv again if they keep lying like this and creating drama for no reason.
|
On my way to swe At the moment gonna board plane in 15 min ... But I'm so shocked gom made up all these answers
|
i wonder if there was translation mistake or really just made up answers....

where's naniwa's interview??
|
Australia528 Posts
like usethis2 pointed out on the previous page, the OP didn't translate interviews from TiG. I have no idea where they're from so I can't even check the original. Something weird, though, is that OP used images from TiG before they were removed for hotlinking.
|
Hopefully someone can translate the one in the link from the poster above, and i hope that this wasnt all a confusion and not some sort of conspiracy to make Naniwa look bad.
|
Well this is interesting. When I first read the interviews I was thinking they were shorter than normal. Wonder where he found these.
|
not sure where to request this but can someone translate Seed's interview from Group A? I would really like to see it.
|
thank you for backing up storywriter was really missing the interviews!!!
|
think it would be better for op to include the link to the orginal article in future, so as to prevent any misunderstanding.
if those are not from TIG, where did op get those interview from??
|
the reputation of the player or the organisation is at sake here, i doubt Naniwa would say those or that gomtv would distort facts. It could be the interview is mistranslated. So until we have the link to the orginal korean interview, we shouldnt jump into conclusion
|
Yeah..ok, so if this last bit of the translation of the Naniwa interview isn't evidence that they aren't Nani's words, I don't know what is.
"Would just like to say to the fans?
Always happy to oblige my fans would like to thank the city cheer. My strength is the driving force of the fans cheering. I'm great but now much more have never even stalwart fans cheer, thanks to the city to act so hard I think."
LOL. Right, nani would say that... ^^

|
i hope mvp and nestea meet again. maybe in ro4
|
so where is the true interview of naniwa?:O
|
So the OP is not providing any citation to his work on interviews that are not from TIG...
Storywriter get well soon please I'm entirely selfish and I miss your interview translations to read while I'm at work
|
Can the OP come out and clarify the source of the orginal article? Else it would seems that someone is deliberately stiring up some shitstorm
