i think it would be almost funny if it turned out that people being fat was all a political stand point influenced by poetry. but its not, every study shows (with almost everything) that these things tend to be something that starts young and becomes a habit. most people who are fat as a kid stay fat as adults, and most slim kids stay slim. so rather than looking at today for the cause of everyone being fat we should probably start looking at what was happening 30 years ago to kick things off.

and im pretty sure its not a poem ;D

eventually obesity will become like smoking where people wont sugarcoat that they're fat(because they'll eat that too) and legitimately try to bust a move

Oh, you're pretty sure its not a poem? Well that's settled then! Nevermind listening to the insights of someone who has actually been living in African American culture as an obese woman for the past 30 years, turdburgler's pretty sure its not a poem, everyone. Despite the shitfest that is going on in this thread, that article actually brings out a part of that culture I never knew existed, if even for only a small subsection of the black population.
