are you kidding me?
the kind of people that actually write to sponsors like that care nothing about some righteous duty to save the public from hearing bad things. all they want is revenge because they were on the ass end of one of destiny's flames. they know that crying racism to sponsors will majorly stir shit up, and it takes a pretty pathetic person to go cause permanent damage for some words someone said.

This guy changes teams more often than major does. I honestly expected more after listening to how smart he was. Oh well best of luck to him.

You tell me which is more caustic and hurtful... fucking hypocrites. Who's job was lost? Read Destiny's email. He even admits that his Quantic sponsorship wasn't worth shit. He makes all his money streaming and he knows it, that's why he didn't care.

One person said gook in a moment of rage. It's not equal to being racist. Get your facts straight you newly knighted "White Knight". Gaming "communities" will always be full of foul language because that's what gaming causes, I've screamed nigger, faggot and all other kinds of words at my computer scream when losing on a tilt, it doesn't mean I'm racist.
It seems like people are forgetting what we're even supposed to be doing here; having fun. This isn't a work place nor an intellectual forum, we play a game and discuss it. But now it's all about slandering the people playing it for faulting like everyone else does.

Pretty obvious it would happen sooner or later. Sponsors just dont want to be associated with what could be seen as hate speech, no matter what the intention was.
A similar situation to sponsor Budweiser warning/threatening the UFC about members of the organization using homophobic slurs on twitter, a few days ago. Thats how the real world works.
If he wants to make his money by using the full extent of his free speech hes better off alone.

Ehhh to be fair, I think that is comparable. You can try to say it isn't, but saying retard is just like saying faggot.

He admits to doing it, and not caring (see guesting on SoTG). It's not 1 time. Not that that matters. Look at pro sports organizations. Use one racial swear and see if you're not fined thousands.
also, you gaming by yourself and a public figure broadcasting his games are two separate things.

Wut, no he doesn't. And he doesn't necessarily change teams, he joins one if it's beneficial and has no problem leaving. In this scenario it wasn't (according to his words atleast) even economically harmful for him to leave.

To begin with, atleast. Then we need to pick another player every week to sacrifice to satisfy the community drama lust. It's looks better to hide it behind the self-righteous white-knight facade, though.

We aren't the ones "stirring the shit-pot". I wont bother lowering myself to your petty level and responding to the rest of your post since you are clearly to immature to understand why this is a good thing.

Good to see Quantic isn't taking any of this BS.
Though the writing to Quantic before Sponsors should have been done, its nice to see that voices are indeed heard.

Destiny isnt the only pro with legions of haters. what is keeping these people on their teams if its this easy to destroy their careers It's not though. I would consider using "gook" to be pretty serious. Remember that for this to work many people have to get worked up, and that's not going to happen over nothing. Look at IdrA. Dude's got more haters than Destiny for sure, and he's still in EG.
I wouldn't say tiny fuckup, and not "destroyed". But commit something as serious as this and yeah there should be consequences.

Hopefully TL keeps him unlisted.

way to be a martyr...
I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did on Quantic to be honest. No real loss on either side here.
|
I'm sorry for that envy guy you encountered.

Rather funny that Quantic wanted Destiny for his personality (he's an entertainer not a player), which he earned through things exactly like this, yet release him when it inevitably happens again. I'm surprised he lasted this long.

Wow, nowhere on the first couple of pages is anyone just posting "Liquid'Destiny" or "EGDestiny".
I guess people got bored of that.
