however, when a person is representing a organization, there are standards. the organization can either support what he does or be against it. but i would take a guess that the consensus would say such behavior shouldn't run wild while representing a organization that cares about their image, important to some or not. it wouldn't hurt him to be his own entertainer like many others that live off of supplying digital content. to me this has little or nothing to do with what he says but what he says while representing something else.

TL has their rules, as does the World. Free speech can be an excuse to talk down to someone. Yeah you can say shit, but it's not always the right thing to do.

Yes, because the scene of currently full of racism, sexism, and homophobia. And one person is entirely to blame for the whole scene being plagued by it. Yep. Lets just magnify the smallest of problems to encourage sponsors, is that how it works?

I'll still watch his stream, he's entertaining even when I vehemently disagree with him. And besides, I like the idea of an independent voice out there

To me it seems like being mad that a teacher/grandmother/etc telling your father the bad thing you did instead of your mother, resulting in your ass getting busted. Seems kind of deceitful. Not to mention Quantic had to have known who and what Destiny was when they acquired him. I have not once seen a statement from Quantic regarding Destiny's language and I (and a few others I know) have emailed them several times before this expressing discomfort with Destiny's hateful and hurtful language on his stream. Lessons are best learned the hard way. Destiny's behavior is completely unacceptable in all mainstream outlets. He makes the point that SC2 is a game with killing and its dumb to ban words, but look at the NFL? It's a dangerous and deadly sport famous for intense violence, yet if a player even said "gook" once he'd be suspended/fined several hundred thousand dollars and if he continued to do it he'd be out of a job. If Razer drops Quantic, if Daddy beats your ass with the belt, too bad. It's no one's fault but Destiny. It's our faults for informing Razer of the speech of one of a person on whom their logo is? Obviously Razer doesn't think they are just words.

I don't understand how some people think that this is a bad thing that he got cornered and forced out for blatantly spouting trash. If you are sponsored by anyone, you are responsible for what you say...it doesn't matter if you don't mean it. This doesn't go down well anywhere but on the internet and it needs to be clamped down on here. Say what you want when you're on your own but the second you have to answer to a higher authority you need to cut the crap out. Good for him, he's free of that obligation now and he can say whatever he wants. Anytime you are a community figure, whether you want to be or not, your actions and words represent something larger than yourself. If you don't want this responsibility, stop doing things that will highlight yourself publicly and you'll lose people's interest (especially when you're an average player in the case of SC2). Fame comes with a higher standard...it doesn't matter if it's e-fame in a small community or global fame. People don't get away with stuff like this in the real world...there's no reason a double standard should exist because it's the internet. well, he will lose a lot of his viewer base. so I re itterate, i really hope TL plans on re-featuring him when he's un banned and has had some time to think. ie, i don't go to his stream URL every few hours to see if he is streaming atm.. I look at the sidebar on TL T_T

TL community reminds of carrion swarms, or vultures that descend upon anyone unfortunate enough to do anything they deem "unacceptable". Why are you putting " " around unacceptable, in what nation is it acceptable to racially abuse people? In real life you would get fired from your job, expelled from school etc it has actual real consequences. Its about time that the same rules apply to the internet.

The so called "faces" of SC2 are too concerned with sponsors and $$$, less about ethics and not turning this place into 4chan. Rather a witch hunt than a clans meeting. Really clan meetings?? Thats a bit harsh dont you think? I really dont think that just because someone said something offensive in a ladder game is going to lead to a part of the community becoming out of control racists who join the KKK.

I don't know what you're referring to by completely wrong, but all I did was state the situation as it happened. He may have taken the bullet, but he was also the one that pulled the trigger.

Check out some other scenes that aren't concered about "manner" as much as we are.

Looking forward to people getting kicked from teams soon just for winning on ladder, or not signing autographs at future events lol... GL to any1 who relies on sponsorship money... kiss ur fans asses or they email ur sponsors until u are dropped.... what a joke. Congratulations on a nobody feeling important and powerful though by emailing a sponsor, and trying to get what little money sponsors generate taken out of esports. This is grown ass men crying to mom when someone hurt their feelings? LOL what a joke... where do people live where everyone blows sunshine out of ur ass all day and no1 says anything that hurts ur poor little feelings? THIS JUST IN.... IF YOU DONT LIKE SOMETHING DONT WATCH IT. This is like buying a song on itunes then complaining to itunes that there was swearing in it... even when its clearly advertised that there is swearing in it LOLOL... what a fucking joke... so this is how esports will die. Next time Idra doesnt GG im emailing every sponsor!... <~ thats sarcasm btw... just showing you how out of hand this has gotten... lol, welcome to planet Earth good sir. The planet where humans live and thrive. You think this is the sc2 community? Wrong, this is humans in general. This is the way the world works. If you don't like something, you have to stand up and speak out. If you think something is wrong with something you like, you have to stand up and speak out. If there is someone or something that is not liked, people will stand up and speak out. Not everyone will stand up and speak out, but in cases like Destiny, yes, you will have enough people stand up and speak out. If you want to not watch when people in your community do terrible things, then you're hurting the community, not the other way around (terrible being a personalized word, meaning it's intensity fluctuates depending on a person's value). When someone gets kicked out for doing stuff wrong, it's not a wrong from the people who kicked them out, it's a wrong from people who did stuff wrong. Some people like it when people do stuff wrong.. They think it's funny or cool or attractive for some reason or another, but those people have different opinions, normally most of which bring upon more harm than not. If you're one of those people, you should be ashamed. Destiny said he won't be doing as much stuff wrong (publicly at least) as he was before. He's all dandy without his Quantic partnership. There isn't really anyone being hurt here, just a lesson being learned. Let this be a note to aspiring progamers: Just because some pros have gotten to their pro status having some ridiculous and unprofessional characteristics, you will be criticized, and it's possible that it will get to a point where your career will be affected.
