I don't care that a big part of our community jumps on shit all the time. Or that another big part of them jumps to argue with that other big group. Or even that witch-hunts get made and too many people act as a giant stupid hive mind. Or that people can't give or take criticism worth a shit. Or that everyone thinks they're on the right side all the time and most people don't actually even bother to consider the other side of anything aside from how they're going to use it to straw man someone's point of view.
All of that is bad to various degrees. But to me none of that is remotely as harmful as those people taking that, and then going straight to people's sponsors. I'm tired of the constant drama, but I can ignore stupid drama. I can't ignore "this is my letter to Razer about ________, everyone else should send one too since _______ clearly isn't doing anything as it's been a whole 10 internet minutes and do you really expect us to have to do something crazy like waiting?" That I care about, because that genuinely scares me.

I just think that we could have gotten to this WITHOUT attacking sponsors... Makes us look childish... Why is it that we can't handle shit ourselves as a community, why do we have to cry to sponsors just because you THINK the team won't do anything... I think that people like doing witchhunts because it makes them feel significant but truth is your just being that kid at school that nobody likes....

Most people are notified when streamers go online by looking at teamliquid... sure there will be like 30% of his former viewrbase that will always have his stream open and follow him on twitter, but for the majority, they don't follow destiny on twitter or always have his stream open. I mean, look at his stream right now, it's at 700 viewers and hes been streaming for a long time now..

Team hired him in the first place with a huge track record of this.
I'm annoyed by people thinking they can be normal gamers while being sponsored by corporate interests. You are professional in all kinds of ways once you start getting paid for your activities. Don't blame the witchhunts.
Witchhunts are needed as a way to reform the communities behavior over time.
