You don't like Travis content? Ongamers will be dead in next few months anyway and Thorin will just write for dailydot. I love this Roccat line up. Overpow should be decent top, only problem that he never was good at trading. Nuke/Jankos hype.

His interviews are terrible, watch this for example: I still have no idea how this guy is calling himself journalist. Piglet don't do it. Also what is going on with SK T, people on twitter are saying that there is chance of whole coaching stuff going to China?

He just does player interviews with a "dudesque" vibe to them. He's been doing that for years and doesn't seem to either want to change or have the ability to change.

Piglet D: How soon will Thorin join dailydot? Can't see him going to ESH tho, too much charisma in one place then. On October 08 2014 04:44 KissBlade wrote: LGD booting XQ makes no sense. XQ is definitely going to be a Chinese "new generation ADC". Considering that Uzi is still 17, kid is 17 and Styz is going to be unbanned, i don't see a problem. Holy shit, i just realised that Zzitai and kid will go for their 4th season as pros next year and they're still just 17.

It's too hard to make some research, prepare questions, and pay attention to games for full time journalist. I wasn't serious about his content being good.

He's got the market cornered on them anyways, no need for him to do serious stuff when his own little niche is doing very well.

Very very disappointed since he produces some excellent content/analysis that is clearly lacking LoL reporting/casting. Someone will probably hire him and carry on his baggage, because of the immense amount of traffic he can bring. Where did he get fired, he just left, holy shit. Noone with good brains will fire Thorin, he's by far best content creator in esports in last 10 years. If he just too blunt for some people, they can ignore it and don't watch content at all, but somehow, everyone who calls him 'asshole' or 'enter what you want', still watches him a lot. It just means that ongamers will soon be done, considering that Slasher left earlier this year and whole crew will move to other projects. And noone can overcome Slasher's reason to leave anyway.

I think he did get fired by the way he phrased the second paragraph. Why would he leave ongamers if he lacks a place to publish his content? He is extremely polarizing figure so maybe ongamers couldn't handle it? I think its dumb for them to fire him, but I can see the reasoning. I think Thorin getting fired makes more sense than him leaving. If you think I am wrong, feel free to expound on why.

Except a large media company, which OnGamers is a part of, that doesn't want to have to put up with his baggage. Does he produce good content? Yes. Is he an asshole? Yes. Do people want to forgo one of the few sources of good content because he's an asshole? No. They'll shrug off the lesser stuff and cause a ruckus when he acts like a mega douche. He brings literally all of this on himself.

If they wanted to fire him, they could do it way before, like, let's say, after TSM blacklisting OnGamers, most likely his contract just ended after a year after he got invited. At least, it's my assumption, feel free to disagree. On October 08 2014 08:24 IAttackYou wrote: I think he did get fired by the way he phrased the second paragraph. Content requires shitload of stuff going well, we will never know what kind of resource Thorin lacks but apparently, OnGamers weren't ready to provide it. If Acer calls him to return though, i will be happy.

Pretty sure he got fired from the wording in his tweets. The best content creator is very subjective. For example his analysis is very poor in my opinion. His best stuff was the esports history, but he does only very few of that. In any case he doesnt get that many viewers (like 30k views for a reflections video). So that does not necessarily justify salary or the baggage he comes with. And please it is not about being blunt, but outright ignorant and dumb in many instances.

It's not like he wrote a smear piece about some big group/organization which caused a whole ton of legal or activist hassles. It's probably a culmination of everything his dumb ass has done and his recent twitter drunken punching spree was the straw that broke the camel's back. They could have fired him, but since his contract was almost up why bother?
