Guess they want NiP in LCS really bad. That way they can finaly qualify

to be fair NIP is quite a big organization because of their CS:GO team, that also has a bunch of swedish/international sponsors, just that their players have failed to come through for the organization many times.

He doesnt reveal many specifics, but you can assume a few things from this. Pretty sure in this 10 team format it would be double round robin instead of quadruple round robin per split. Which means we would have 90 games instead of 112 per split during regular season. This way they could eliminate super weeks, which makes sense to me.
What I hope (and assume) they will do for the playoff format:
Playoffs with top 8 teams of regular season, while the bottom 2 teams go to relegation against challenger teams. Team 5-8 play the first round of elimination matches. Winners of that play against team 3 and 4. Winners of that plays against team 1 and 2 in the semi finals. This would give sufficient meaning to regular season placements and there would be 8 instead of 6 playoff matches.
Only problem I see with the new format is that it further weakens the challenger scene, but overall could be worth it.

Idk, Challenger scene in EU is ok right now, i just think that you expect too much from it. Imagine that it's Championship and some promoted teams are Derby County, shit happens.
NA Challenger Scene truly sucks, but, welp.
