I hope this does not affect the Funited team

what does this mean for F.United?

hmmm I don't like how this sounds. Will they still play in GSTL?

What about gstl T___T no more fou and zenex and now f.united
|

:O So basically giving up on sc2 ?

wow this is a terrible week for sc2

MOAR SC2 DRAMA.
I wonder what the implications are for F.United...
|
Whoa, EG gonna pick them up for thier team house?
|
Do we have an english confirmation article?? Don't read korean Hmm, what to do for them at WCG?
|
SC2 in Korea is dying. Soon it'll be a American/European game only, before LoL and DOTA2 take over (which will be soon). Well it was fun while it lasted.
|
Whoa! Did not see that coming. I haven't read the article yet, but I suppose WMF wants to focus more on doing well in BW?
|

interesting..hopefully this has nothing to do with the wemade sponsorship issues.
|
Why did they do this? Due to the fracture between GOM as the percieved trojan horse of Blizzard and all other Korean companies who have supported BW against Blizz attempts at killing it off for SC2?

I asked Moon about this, and he denied it. So if this is true, it's not official yet anyway.

Jeez don't be such a worry wart, the teams that were formed at the advent of SC2 are still there.
Wemade was a pseudo team when it came to SC2.

Isnt there also rumours that Moon will be joining chinese team iG to play DotA2? Sad news if this is true

Hopefully this isn't true but I suppose we'll find out as things progress.
|
The team iG (invictus Gaming) that bought CCM for 6 million dollars (or something approaching that amount) said that they want to buy Moon.
|
In the posts about the WCG qualifiers, it's listed that a player couldn't qualify for 2 games, so Moon & Lyn were playing WC3. Is there maybe some odd confusion about that?

no this rumor ties in with the other rumor,if wemade pulls sponsorship of FOX then its pulling the plug entirely on Esports..not just the BW or the WC3/SC2 team.
|
These kinds of threads should not be made unless the topic is offical. Threads like this only spark drama not only for the players whos names are mentioned and the teams but also for the forums. False accusations and stories only come out of this. Look at the whole Nasl situation and how SC2con was blamed or the incident with the TSL coach when neither had done any wrongdoing...
|
Hmmm... wasnt there a video interview with Midas, where he said, that WMF thinks about going " allin " with sc2 and transition the whole BW squad into sc2? ( at least it soundet like that )

I think every team will eventually transition to SC2 once the game reaches its balance phase.

I guess that shouldn't be too surprising if Moon switched to Dota2. Actually, that's an interesting thought, because how many other SC2 pros would switch to Dota2 as well? I wouldn't be too surprised if Grubby switched as well.

SC2 is hitting puberty this week.
So many dot dot dot.

i would find that wierd, it would make some sense that some of the old WC3 players switch to DOTA2, but not the SC2/BW players, it takes a different skill set.
unless there's gonna be a lot of money in the DOTA2 scene

Woah, what? Do you have a source for this? If Moon goes to Dota2, he will be playing 3 games at once. (He qualified for WCG 2011 for korea, is participating in the GSL with FOX, and possibly Dota2 in China?)

Might be a bit harsh but I think it's time some people experienced a little of what the BW scene has felt the last few months...
It's probably better for the players to find teams with more SC2 practice partners anyways.

I will never understand why so much drama and discussion goes on over trades or releases of players in sc2, or why people instantly jump on a rumor as fact. Quite amusing really.

whats with all these sc2 dying comments ? It's about time that WMF releases the trio. They were supposed to be wc3 players, just coincidently found some fame in in early days of Sc2 (everyone could). It's not like WMF was going to set up a proper Sc2 squad either (still bound to KeSPA I guess). I love Moon/Lyn to death back in their wc3 days, but they aint no GSL-caliber players. This news doesnt hurt esport rofl.

This is just beginning of forming stable team of true SC2 scene, in the old BW days there's alot of team come and go and strong one remains... it's how esport still lives.

In this case, if it did turn out to be fact, which currently it isn't looking like. It's fairly significant because there have been rumors that WMF is disbanding and this would be one step closer to that conclusion. Letting go 3 players who have been with them for a while, not to mention the WMF organization in itself is legendary in many games.
|

Lyn was in Code S till he dropped out. Soccer has qualified for Code A in July I believe (losing in RO32). Moon was in Code A and has finished second at DH Summer (over Bomber, MC, July). All three of them are GSL-caliber players.

All 3 of them are good enough to be in the rosters of any current SC2 team. If they want to pursue SC2 they need to sign with one of them.
Man I really hope this doesn't mean retirement for them though. Most specifically Moon. I know there isn't a single SC2 team in korea that can afford to pay him what he was getting paid with WMF. He'll have to take a drastic pay cut in order to join any team...
|
Well if it is a rumour, i hope WeMade can strenghten their roster in the future. If its not a rumour and the players are serious about playing SC2, they have enough talent to be picked up by really solid teams. At least Moon and Lyn, dont know nothing about Soccer.
|
I doubt WMF will start up a SC2 team.
They had special permission from kespa to allow their current WC3 team to compete in SC2 (as WC3 was slowly dying).
But no team under kespa has permission to actively start a SC2 team.

This doesnt make sense, to buy Moon out of his contract is definitely not worth it, and he represents them quite well at international events. If they arent going under, its clearly worth their investment to continue to invest in them.
The particularly funny part, is this is coming after both Moon and LyN won arguably the hardest tournament in Korea, WCG Qualifiers.

Surely this would have been on TIG aswell anyway or something?

If anything, it's action RPG using the "classic" genre names. Controlling a single character has never been RTS.
|
if moon doesnt know about it then it probably isnt true...
BTW, its called Action Arcade MMORPG. arcade meaning PvP. But to be more specific, MOBA (battle arena) is a distinct meaning since theres emphasis on towers(the progressive arena gameplay). the game has to conform to the arena rules. And its not enviromental like sc
RTS games generally have you control multiple units/building and build up tech trees... there's RTS aspects in the MOBA genre, but its not the theme.
