They simply put up a counter that unlocks audio files every now and again. They hardly even mentioned it. The COMMUNITY generated the hype for them.

If, for example, Peyton Manning were traded/resigned to say the Dolphins for way more money (for god knows what reason), people wouldn't be like OMG what a sellout fuck him!!! They'd just see it as "Wow, sucks for the colts but good for him he's making way more money." Yet the world called lebron james a sellout for signing with the miami heat...

Practicing with incontrol, idra, machine, lzgamer ? Yeah....that is a huge career blunder, there is a reason none of those boys can preform. The only thing idra has won since leaving korea is IPL season 1, and that was like the first month back. Now he is horrible and so will anyone who joins that team.

I understand wanting to switch for money, but if the entire announcement is that huk is switching to EG, being booted from the oGs house and moving into an apartment on his own, I doubt it will benefit his SC2 results at all. Short term monetary gains in exchange for joining a mediocre team with no korean infrastructure that, in the long term, will result in him just becoming someone with idra-like results. Why exactly is it unfair to critizise him for that? You forget, TL itself is a mediocre team compared to the korean teams. I can't remember the last time a Liquid member won something since jinro being in GSL. Ret did pretty good recently I'll admit, but TL is really only 'good' atm because of their affiliation with oGs, and really only Jinro/Huk are actually in Korea atm. If say EG managed to grab a partnership too with say IM, then this is perhaps the best move possible for huk. However, this is all speculation, and we should just wait for the announcement, not like there's a shirt prize or anything =P

Short term monetary gains in exchange for joining a mediocre team with no korean infrastructure that, in the long term, will result in him just becoming someone with idra-like results. Why exactly is it unfair to critizise him for that? He is not being criticized for the reasons you listed, but to answer your question: You're saying what "will" happen. Not what has happened. If HuK leaves the oGs-TL house and still stays in code S, will you come back and retract your words? I think it is unfair to criticize him for what "might" happen. Not to say living in the pro-house hasn't helped him, quite the contrary. But I think you have to give him the chance to succeed first before you can criticize him for failing. However, the majority of people are more upset that HuK is leaving TL, precious TL. I can appreciate the fact that this is TL's site, and people should rightfully so support TL. But the bases for the hate on HuK is purely the fact that he's leaving TL, nothing more.

If buy "thats not how the SC2 pro scene works" you mean that players aren't transfered with transfer payments then your wrong. EG payed a transfer payment to mym(i think) for demuslim. If HuKs contract is up then no payment would be needed as there is no contract holding HuK to liquid but if he is still under contract then EG will have to pay Liquid for him
