At this point no matter what the announcement is it is not going to live up to the hype. Not with this much hype already. Unless its an announcement of the date of an announcement where an announcement is going to be announced. That will break the internet.

This hype was a brilliant strategical move by EG. Knowing their announcement would be controversial what better way to soften the blow than to slowly leak hints to the announcement allowing the community to slowly flesh out reasons for everything and give time for people to understand and accept the changes coming. Instead of just dropping the bombshell of huk leaving liquid to join EG for more $$$ (which would almost certainly cause a huge uproar) they will avoid a lot of that with this plan they've unfolded. Kudos to you, Evil Geniuses.

No, I think a major BW pro who just came of contract would easily match this hype. But a tournament of any type, nor any established SC2 pro signing would match this hype.
