looking at Puma Select Huk QXC IdrA iNcontroL NaNiwa White-Ra and a few more players to join it that said, the question becomes will EG buy all of these players or will they keep their own team names within the house (like TLO's Swedish house) im really hoping EG doesnt buy HuK but im 99% sure that will happen simultaneously
This is probably it! I honestly think LOGICALLY - Apparently HuK's leaving, but it doesn't mean he's leaving TL. He might be rotating from oGs house - Foreigner house, but I think that this is probably what will happen. HOWEVER, some of the the players in this category will not go to korea. Idra and Incontrol already said that they would not want to go to Korea, and Select is not allowed to go to Korea, because if he does he will be conscripted into the military I believe (Correct me if I'm wrong) and QXC is already in the FXO house.

Let me throw my wild speculation into this: SeleCT, HuK and Haypro to EG. SeleCT would be a really good pick up for EG, given his recent results and their lack of Terrans. Bringing in SeleCT, along with Puma and Demuslim would give them a pretty strong Terran line up to utilize. SeleCT would probably like to return to Korea once he's done with school in the US, and EG is one of the few teams with tons of money that could afford to house him there while he trains.
HuK would be a good acquisition for EG, since Axslav/Incontrol aren't really holding up EG's Protoss side of things. HuK would provide a lot of experience and a different take, letting both grow as players. Would make sense from a training perspective for EG, and I could see HuK switching for a large sum.
Haypro is a bit harder to see, but let's go over this: EG, among foreign teams, has one of the best macro Zergs (Idra). Haypro is a macro Zerg, with a different perspective on the game due to training in South Korea + training with Morrow. I can also see EG wanting to expand more into Europe, due to the booming European scene. Picking up a Zerg, and training him with Idra/StrifeCro/LzGamer would give them a pretty good European representative that they could send around on the cheap.
GSTL Team is a possibility, but if that were the case, why would HuK leave oGs-TL for their team? He already played for oGs, and while he might play more on a foreigner team, it's pretty unlikely he'd accept that. I'd imagine he'd rather play for oGs-TL than a foreign team. Acquiring a lot of players from different teams makes sense for EG, it's their MO in virtually every game.

people saying whitera denied joining eg on his stream...do you really think he would announce it before the official announcement? im not saying i think he did or didnt join, but i doubt he would spoil it if he did.

Interesting, in the second sound file theres many a mention of "special tactics" I don't know who else it could be (>,<) considering WhiteRa up and denied it. He might be trollin' though, but doubt it.
Yes but some one posted a few pages back about special tactics training military-like training.

Unfortunately I didn't find anything in either of the two files, though I have a couple questions.
One: Should we start a thread that is actually being moderated for people who would like to try to figure this riddle out without all the trolling and total randomness in this thread?\
Two: Have we figured out which matches are being played in the first clip? I'm having trouble trying to clear up the white noise of the ocean and wind that's going over most of the clip. I hear djWheat and Day[9] commentating a game, when Wheat would have said the name of the player in question at around 18 seconds the clip it's dubbed over by something out of a dubstep song. I have a feeling that the audio under it is probably lost but I'm sure someone on these forums is better at audio manipulation than me. Also at the end of the clip day[9] mentions QXC gging out after a very close game. Any idea of which match he's commentating on?
Three: In the second clip there's a lot of white noise (hence why I ran it through the spectrograph). At around 8 second I hear what I believe is Morse code for about 2 seconds. Also for the love of god what is the name/artist of that song that gets sprinkled in around 23 seconds and 33 seconds? I can't place it. Also someone of the white noise sounds just like white noise, but at 39 seconds I think that it's slowed down audio. I've been trying to phase shift it up in pitch but with no luck so far.
That's all I've got for the time being. Qxc vs Rain, MLG anaheim. Edit; Btw, who the hell is Brothermack? Is he serious or is it a show or something? lol. Brother Troll

Great work with the OP on this by the way.
My god, EG and Liquid together... That'd be big.
If it's just HuK going over to EG I'm gonna be a sad panda tho. Gotta be more than just that I figure though.

Why would they pick up Huk which is on the rise again in TL? Why pickup Haypr0 who havn't gotten any good results for months.

If this is true, why wouldn't Nani and Thorzain be on this team too since they are already in Korea? Yet not clues reference them? Also, why would EG be the first to leak info if they only have an equal 1/7th-ish share of the team?
Well, they are on Foreign teams now. That's what I meant, my bad. And why EG is making the announcement rather than the other teams? Well it seems that Dignitas is also contributing to the secrecy. Maybe Team EG wanted to do the announcement, does there have to be a specific reason as to that?
As to Nani and Thorzain, that is always a possibility. Maybe the "1/2" from the Dignitas tweet refers to players being SENT to Korea. If so, then it's most likely TanDongHo, since SeleCT (ProjeCT) would be a relatively clear first choice O.o
Honestly, I hope it's something big that involves a bunch of foreign teams. Because then it's sort of like a joint effort of sorts, almost every foreigner fan will cheer for them, you know what I mean? It'd be kinda cool.

Yeah this makes me really nervous. He can't have not seen all the rumors flying.
Though maybe he knows what's really up and doesn't want to spoil the surprise by denying the rumor about him. I hope.
HUK IF YOU GO TO EG I WILL NEVER LOVE YOU AGAIN Huk seems quite preoccupied at the moment, just getting back from a tournament and having a Code S match tonight. He's probably practicing 24/7 for his Code S match at the moment.
Plus, he's just big enough of a troll to let it slide.
But of the possibilities so far, Huk joining EG seems to be the most supported one.

Ok, time to go over all the bullshit so far:
Title of 1st music thingy: Neca eos omnes. Deus suos agnoscet (Kill them all, God will know His own). Crusades reference, in terms of the West vs Korea.
First mp3 file: Huk matches, ocean sounds, obviously pointing towards HuK participating in something and something on the other side of the ocean.
Title of 2nd music thingy: (There is no grief which time does not lessen and soften) -> Refers to 'grief' from fans over people leaving the NA/EU scene for a long time I'm guessing.
2nd Mp3 file: Referring to special tactics, special operations team, special training. Implies withra and at least some others.
Other random stuff:
Hushmail: "titans will finally move from old to new; its a new era" -> Old to new, EU/NA to KR. Titans referring to a mix of top players from several teams.
Kennigit: There will be drama and backlash from community. -> If I recall correctly, this was part of a reddit post where he was talking about invite policy. Certain teams/players probably weren't invited to be part of this deal.
LOTR reference: Again, if I recall correctly those PM's were sent between the 1st and the 2nd mp3 file, reference to reinforcement from the east, which is a reference to white-ra and used as build-up to the 2nd audio file.
Johnny Cash reference: No clue.
Dignitas twitter: Obvious reference to SeleCT as the 3rd player, much in the way they used the LOTR reference I'm guessing. I'd expect the next mp3 file to imply something about SeleCT.
So yea, top-foreigner team over in korea is what I'd bet on. It would for a change be worthy of the hype.
As an addition, I have a hard time believing that people like DJWheat and Incontrol would join in the celebration of 'poaching' players from other teams. That would be in extremely poor taste, and even EG PR should see that to be honest. EG is probably funding most of it, since I'm under the impression they're floating in cash and are therefore doing most of the announcing.
|
If there is a Korean training house, then it would comprise of all non-FXO foreigners currently in Korea:
Huk Jinro Hero Puma Naniwa Thorzain
+ Whomever would want to comeover. Still not sure why EG is in the center of all this though.

Since shows like STOG and Day9 Daily are restricted to one, very large thread. Shouldn't all announcements of announcements go in one very large thread as well? Or can we just get a seperate "announcement of announcement" subcategory under the SC2 forums?
|
Not a lot of time for the last three audio files to show up. We need MOAR THEORIES, and the only way to get those is to give us more gibberish in audio files. You hear me, scoots?!
