Ifølge NRKs reporter på stedet, skal gjerningsmannen være høy, blond og med nordisk utseende. According to NRKs reporter at the scene, the shooter is supposed to be tall, blond and nordic looking. Ett vitne forteller at det ble brukt både hagle, håndvåpen og automatvåpen.
